Now for the updates:
• She’s already seen episode one of both To Be Hero X and My Hero Vigilantes.
• She’s also fully caught up on Fire Force.
• The boys will continue Devil May Cry solo.
• Same goes for Reacher — we’re handling that one ourselves.
• We’re ready to start covering The Last of Us — and we’re ready for you on April 24th.

Quick side note on Moonrise.
Netflix dropped all 18 episodes at once. And every time I hear people talk about it, they’re saying:
“Why isn’t anybody talking about this!?”
Now here’s the real deal —
As a reaction channel, not every show is the right fit for YouTube. Some shows, no matter how good, don’t have enough momentum from The Collective to justify the full recording/editing/upload cycle — especially when we could be covering something that does have stronger support.
I hear the suggestion all the time:
“Just make it Patreon only!”
And yeah, we could.
But even with Patreon-only content, we still want to prioritize shows that The Collective actively supports. Otherwise, even on Patreon, the reach and impact are minimal.
Plus, unless a show already has some buzz on YouTube, most people don’t even know we’ve got it on Patreon. The algorithm buries community posts unless we’ve already built momentum with that series.
So the best strategy is this:
• We choose content The Collective wants most.
• We post it on YouTube first.
• If it performs well, the ad revenue helps pay for the editing.
• Then people who are really rocking with us come over to Patreon for the deeper dive.
And those high-quality shows that don’t have the support yet?
We’ll watch them in our own time — if we have that time.
As for TBATE (The Beginning After The End) —
We’re holding off for now to see how The Collective tunes in, especially given the controversy around the animation.
I already know the story’s good — I read the manhwa and was reacting to it before.
But it doesn’t matter what I think.
What matters is what The Collective thinks.

Im getting the feeling you're in that weird spot where both your Patreon subs and your youtube views are dictating what you react to. You need both to keep the ball rolling but upsetting the Patreon subs cant happen (or else they leave), nor can you fail on the youtube algorithm (Hopefully those YT viewers join the Patreon). I dont envy you trying to juggle between the two. Luckily the next hump gives you more freedom to do as you please. Like my fanbox and I, I had to follow the character trends, draw the fanart, post it, keep following whats popular (Im not in the foot club but anime girl feet pics sell) until I finally hit that point where I can just do whatever I want and I dont care because the subs keep coming in either way. Currently working on doing the same thing with twitter to hit more of the western audience but Im honestly not trying that hard atm lol
React to Chinese dramas Hidden Love & When I Fly Towards You ✨
Im going to keep shilling it like usual but Umamusume Cinderella Gary. No body here has mentioned it. The manga won awards. The animation is fantastic. The music is great. It's ranking in japan since everyone was waiting for it. Also the simulpub of it is on youtube. Very easy to react to. One of my favorites Sports style anime. You also don't need to watch the other seasons since they are all their own stories.
Leaving aside the confirmed ones, I'm interested in: Lazarus Yaiba: Samurai Legend Sword of the Demon Hunter: Kijin Gentosho Rock Is a Lady's Modesty Witch Watch Go! Go! Loser Ranger! S2
I would've like to see you guys react to "The Brilliant Healer's New Life in the Shadows" or/and, to "The Mononoke Lecture Logs of Chuzenji-sensei: He Just Solves All the Mysteries"...
I've Been Killing Slimes for 300 Years and Maxed Out My Level started its second season last week and episode 2 is out now.
This is such a fun and wholesome series that I think that most would enjoy it. Also season 2 has some cute animated shorts after the credits with no next-episode preview spoilers so I hope you'll be up for checking them out.

Witch Watch and Sword of the Demon Hunter had solid first episodes so I vote for those.
Loved severance, excited for You, not really interested in most anime this season. I do like To Be Be A Hero so far though

Hopefully after You, Lee and the crew will have the time to react to "The Fall of the House of Usher" (8eps) or "Midnight Mass" (7eps). House of Usher has trash, toxic people for them to react to and with Midnight Mass there is a good villain and it would be interesting to see Lee and Adorkable's reaction to the religious parts of the series.
My favorite type of shows are probably what the "collective" won't like, probably my age. Anyway, The Art of Negotiation is on Viki. The trailer won't spoil it. Side note: I just got back from Seoul, and all of the men working in my hotel looked like they stepped out of a K drama🤦🏽♀️

I have a question. The answer may require a bit of a deep dive answer so I understand if you don’t answer but I hope you do. Does YouTube ad revenue really pay well enough for that to be the deciding factor of what shows you react to? When watching on YT you all ask for Patreon subscription to help support the channel presumably because the ad revenue is inconsistent and negligible. So why not react and release things that the Patreon/discord crowd request even though there isn’t an already established trend on YT. You being a finance guy understands this but just because there isn’t an established market doesn’t mean there isn’t a demand. Say if no one is reacting to Ruroni Kenshin on YT but a large group of people on Patreon is asking for reactions then wouldn’t it be good to give the people supporting on Patreon what they ask for (or at least check the show out for a few episodes) then post on YT or even keep on Patreon if there are copyright concerns. I’m sure there would be people also looking for reactions to the show on YT just most other reactors are sleeping on. That could encourage those viewers to watch the reactions and possibly sub to Patreon. You could pretty much set the market on the show. Just because a show isn’t the new hot thing, doesn’t mean there isn’t a group that’s still searching for reactions and would sub to Patreon for the uncut. Thus becoming new monthly subs. I know it’s a long one but I don’t see how this wouldn’t be a net positive.
“Wind breaker”, “Kowloon” and “sword of the demon hunter” are the most solid picks aside from what you’re already covering. Imo

among the shows you are considering i'd say "Witch Watch" for sure. "Can a Boy and Girl Friendship Hold Up?" also had a solid start and original premise
i would suggest kowloon too but i heard the studio decided to deviate from the manga story so i don't know how well received this choice will be.
I think the only potential go aheads are: Lazarus (Eps1 was fire and Roshi is watching as well) Windbreaker Season 2 Fantasy Slop that you can keep an eye on: From Old Country Bumpkin to Master Swordsman I'm the Evil Lord of an Intergalactic Empire! Skepticism on this one from me and others due to Animation Studios history of failing: Sword of the Demon Hunter: Kijin Gentosho It has potential
