WESTERN Live Action Shows Suggests with my wife
I guess it wasn’t clear with my own instructions but we are not looking for K drama recommendations here please respect that we do enough of those but I realize my instructions may not have been clear enough
These are suggestions for my wife and me to react to. If you’re not into those kinds of reactions, this probably isn’t the comment section for you.
My content strategy is simple—I record content with the people it’s best suited for. My wife enjoys live-action shows, while I can pretty much watch anything. So right now, we’re opening the floor for live-action show suggestions—specifically Western content.
I’m keeping it wide open, so suggest whatever Western live-action series you think would be a good fit. That said, I will prioritize shows with fewer active seasons.
Why? Because imagine committing to eight full seasons of reactions for a small audience—it’s just not worth it. I’d rather stay lean, try a show, and move on if it doesn’t perform well. Or ideally, we react to a season, and if season two drops the following year, we’re ready—just like we did with Severance.

Derry Girls, sitcom with 3 seasons and 19 episodes in total. Or Hannibal, a crime drama with 3 seasons and a total of 39 episodes.
I was thinking The umbrella academy. If you like special powers, some violence, dark humor and some toxicity.
the good place
the agents of shield!!!
The last kingdom, it's soooo good . if you have seen vikings then you will love it. I'd say it's a combination of vikings and game of thrones. each episode is so compelling and it's a fast paced show with 5 season. not too long
ANDOR! New season late April, first was beloved by Star Wars community, way different, more gritty, amazing acting, thriller adventure. "The first season received critical acclaim, and has been called the "most complex, mature story in Star Wars" (Wikipedia). BARRY - I saw someone else mention, surprised it wasn't covered yet. S-tier dark comedy crime drama, assassin takes job in LA and gets sucked into learning acting/theater, by & starring Bill Hader, a favorite from SNL. Pokes so much fun at LA acting community & Hollywood wannabes. The Wire - someone else mentioned and I need a reason to watch. Just hear it lauded so much on NPR and reddit as top-tier must-watch. All three of these have won a good amount of awards, First two covered by Roshi IIRC.
Skeleton Crew-a Star Wars series focusing on kids. You liked Percy Jackson so I think you’ll like this show as well. Banshee-action show starring Antony Starr. It only has four seasons. Maybe save this show for reactions with Director and Adorkable since they reacted to The Boys with you. Fall of the House of Usher-horror show focusing on an extremely dysfunctional family. If your wife’s not a big horror fan, you can save this for Director and Adorkable.
The Blacklist is VERY good. Also, I LOVED Once Upon a Time when it was airing. It's a "fantasy adventure drama" series, heavy on the drama, heavy on the fantasy. It gets a little melodramatic and soap opera-ish at times, but I love it. I think you'd really like the main antagonist. And it's finished airing, so there won't be any new episodes.
Wheel of Time The Gentlemen I see people recommending "wheel of time" its a very good I watch with my wife game of thrones type of show, also the gentleman its a short serious there's also a movie same premise but not together same director tho. watching either or both would be good content I recommend waiting until season 2 of The gentlemen is coming out for better views
“From” is amazing!!!!
“High potential”
"The Residence"
"The Wheel of Time"
"See" or "Silo" from Apple. "Expanse" from Prime
Banshee :)
The blacklist- MC is very charismatic. Type of character you love to watch Banshee- phenomenal show with the actor that plays homelander
"From" - Kind of a thriller/horror "Banshee" - Homelander actor "Silo" - Kind of a mystery
"One Tree Hill" is old but gold
Yellowstone or banshee
"Lupin" "The Gentleman" "The Wheel of Time" "See (2019)" "From"
The White Lotus sorely needs reactions and you could ride the hype of s4 whenever it hits. Succession - Peak drama. It feels like a perfect show for you specifically The Wire - Top 1 all time for me. Wildly still relevant
Ur daughter is soooo cute🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺 awhhhhh
Please react to "From"
Reacher, From, Locke & Key, and School Spirits are all good shows.
They already doing Reacher.
I reccomend either The Residence not Resident, Residence the mystery/action one. And The Night Agent.
Watch Silo. Recent 2nd season came out this year also like severance and It's got a similar episode count. Sci-fi apocalyptic concept with a great unique story. Simply is good and as such is a must watch on or off camera.
I would look at “Barry”, “Ozark”, and “From”. Roshi had done/is doing them so you can ask him if it could be for y’all. Otherwise, I agree with others who said “Succession”, an all-time great show with some reaction history from big hitters on YT (check Normies/Blindwave) or maybe “Paradise” which is good, but doesn’t have a lot of YT reaction movement as of now (Syntell and Married2thereal biggest reactors to react so far)
Succession (peak), Barry (Lees dark humor), and Warrior. i like these shows, not because roshi already did these 👀
i recommend "bridgerton". it's a light hearted watch with 8 episodes per season. i think you will enjoy it.
The Pitt
the good place (2016)
"The Rookie"
The white lotus. Short 6-7eps and phenomenal, trending as well
I recommend Locke & Key or School Spirits! Both really good sci-fi shows that came out in recent years
"From". Roshi is also reacting to it.
Band of Brothers - ONLY 10 episodes of absolute peak greatest tv show of all time probably. Look up reactions on YouTube - IT IS A VIEWS MAGNET. It’s about war as well which I know you’ll be into (:
"The Wheel of Time"
Station 11. Just 10 episodes to tell the whole story made by HBO. Post-apocalyptic science fiction with a dope mystery and really good acting.
"Dark" "Paradise" "Interview with the Vampire"
The Rookie
Bridgerton
Double on the succession recommendation, its relatively short with 4 seasons as well
Interview with the vampire. It’s 2 seasons with 15 episodes as a whole.
Dark - 3 seasons x 8 episodes It's a mystery story set in a small village and is about familial bonds ,secrets and fate
Kevin Can F Himself
Bridgerton (just 8 episodes per season with 3 seasons)
Ted Lasso
Now that the Apple TV ban was pierced by Severance. I will suggest the best Apple TV show. “Ted Lasso”
"Alex Cross (2024)" On Prime Video. 1 Season. 8 episodes.
"Killing Eve"
The Rookie, Bridgerton
"Mr. & Mrs. Smith (2024)". 1 season. 8 episodes.
Greek
"Sense8 (2015)" on Netflix. 2 seasons, 12 eps each. It follows different people from different countries and cultures that share a telepathic link so they can share knowledge, skills, and experiences. It has a Kdrama storyline with actress Bae Doona from Kingdom. So, you kinda get a Kdrama and a Live Action in one.
Omg Yes, Yes, Yes to Sense 8.
Greys Anatomy
Do "Adolescence" on Netflix. It's a british mini-series that is popular right now. It has 4 episodes. It has interesting talking points and would spark good discussions.
im nto a big fan and idk how much lees wife would like it but this is super popular right now so probably a good idea to watch
The Gentleman it has just 1 season and it made by guy Ritchie
Paradise on Hulu, it’s got Sterlin K Brown, James Mardsen and Julianne Nicholson It kinda plays like a mystery. Anymore and it’ll spoil it, I went in blind and the pilot episode was SOLID because of it (it’s also 8 episodes)it
Terrace House! Japanese reality series
Bridgerton. There’s 3 seasons each season is 8 episodes. Plenty of toxicity and drama lol
The Pitt( medical show) - 15 episodes, 45-50 mins long One of the best and most accurate ones iv seen, and has been performing very well for reactions
The Pitt( medical show) - 15 episodes, 45-50 mins long
React to prison break
"Interview with the Vampire" the show, two seasons, amazing writing with the main character being a black man in the 1900s as a vampire, queer toxic love story, great representation.
Suits, the rookie, on my block, or Ginny and Georgia
The Terminal List was reaaly good imo. There's only 1 season out so far but they're filming the 2nd season right now. I will say that it is an action show and idk how Erza feels about those.
Succession (Especially since ya'll liking the toxicity of Penthouse. This is PEAK toxic behavior from HBO)
The Good Place, no doubt
