Anime survey

I'll drop a tl;dr at the end if you want to save time. I heard Domestic GF was some kinda cringe weeb fetish dumpster fire; I checked it out for myself and I saw a human story about people in an impossible situation where SOMEONE was going to get hurt no matter what. I'd (usually) rather watch a show that has more discussion points under the surface, so there's that. I haven't seen Vanitas yet, but I did some research on it. Vanitas looks like my kinda show for lots of reasons, mostly due to interesting worldbuilding. Domestic GF seems like NOT my kinda show on paper because it sounds awful, and yet I gave it a chance and I thought it was actually a really good piece of literature at the end of the day. tl;dr Soooo... I haven't seen Vanitas but it looks like my preferred choice on the surface, I HAVE seen DomeKano and it had more under the surface than I expected. I'd probably enjoy Vanitas more, but I would probably have deeper emotional moments with DomeKano.

DGF would be a crazy reaction

I suspect you will enjoy Domestic more because you will get more emotional and you don't have to hold back since Adorkable is not around if you're doing a Duo

I will say that at the very least Vanitas (anime) tells a pretty complete story, but for domestic GF if you are very into it the likelihood of a second season is minimal and unlikely, so you have to get the manga to complete the story.

Vanitas is better written in story/plot/character overall, but Domestic GF is just for fun I enjoyed both.

So we taking bets on how many times YBRL + Director fall out of their seats or pause for sanity's sake / to steel their soul watching Domestic GF?

Domestic girlfriend is kinda wild. Not exacly a "good show" but it was definitely interesting to read. I didnt really watch the anime much. I think its a pretty good reacting show tho. Just to see yall faces drop at wtf is happening. But Vanitas has also been pretty wild too. But Im kinda watching alongside yall and its alright. Not my thing tbh. But DG season 1 isnt all that so they pretty even to me.

I typically like DGs genre more but in this specific example I prefer Vanitas

Definitely like Vanitas more, but DG has a much better OP than both Vanitas' OP's put together.

Watched Domestic GF once read the manga to see the ending...I would never rewatch this one again and I don't like Yaoi bait that much and this seem to be full of it but I fine with the bait in series like My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU... so I'm avoiding Vanitas. So it's okay to chose the 3rd option as i didn't/won't enjoy both of these right?

i like shows like domestic gf but that one in particular is wack imo

I'm not a huge fan of either, but I'm significantly more interested in a show like Vanitas than Domestic Girlfriend. EDIT: I should probably make it clear that I actually do like Vanitas quite a bit. I'm just not going to go crazy for it.

I haven’t personally seen Vanitas but I had to reevaluate my life for a while after I watched Domestic so I gotta vote for Vanitas

I've seen both of these animes but i would not watch a reaction to these animes ,i don't find these series that interesting, i was surprised when you guys started watching Vanitas,maybe some people like it but for me neither of this animes make me watch a reaction for them.

Domestic Girlfriend is really annoying trash, so from these choices honestly Vanitas is the only one. But I know YBRL loves his trash taste so for him Domestic might be more to his endless Kdrama and anime romance stories.

Two completely different shows but if we're going off PURE enjoyment I gotta go with Domestic. Peak Degeneracy, don't have to think too much and the show sparks interesting conversations

Never seen Case Study nor do I intend to. Domestic would be in the same boat if it wasn't as famous (or infamous) and had a banger opening.

I haven't watched either anime but I've read the manga of Domestic Girlfriend, ended up dropping it though.

I've tried to watch both of these but I just don't enjoy any of them, sorry.
