New Promo Card Flipping

Hey Guys,

I got tons of questions yesterday about what I look for in new promo cards and to be honest there is a lot to it! Experience is a huge factor, but let's talk about what are some good indicators of cards rising and things to keep an eye on.

1. HYPE

When looking at a new team, it's vital to analyze what cards will have the most demand. From this team, I think we can all easily see some of the most hyped cards include Felix, Zaha, Bruno and Bamba.

Felix has his POTM, which was completed incredibly high numbers and has 11,000 upvotes on Futbin, which puts him in the top 10 this year for SBC's! Huge demand for his card and those who did not complete his POTM would surely be interested.

Bruno is one of the best box-to-box in the game currently.

Zaha shows the lack of Premier League ST and as we identified earlier, does incredible on Thursday's. His 85 IF went up 25K and his 86 IF went up 30K this week for reference.

2. Position Scarcity

Not only do some of the cards have hype, but they are also really important in their respective positions. As I stated with Zaha, the lack of Premier League ST's instantly makes him a top candidate.

This is the exact same for Joao Felix as La Liga is missing ST to a huge degree. So many people are rocking links to Portuguese players and La Liga wingers it makes him a centerpiece.

Bruno doesn't fit this as much to be honest.

3. Supply

The pack weight on these were originally listed around the 2% mark, but the supply was still massive.

There wasn't a crazy amount of Lightnings Rounds, so this was a strong indicator people opened saved packs and were not willing to wait a few more weeks until TOTY.

When this happens, it usually always produces a rise. This tends to happen strongly at TOTY as well where they hit a low point and recover extremely strong due to the saved pack openings. I bet some of you guys will amass quite a pack total into TOTY as well!

Another huge thing I do to gauge supply is count the pages of listings. When does it peak and how many pages were there? Usually new cards almost get cut in half within a few hours and when the listings lower, the prices rise.

For example, yesterday Felix peaked at 11 pages and at the least I saw him around 3 pages. Huge amount of buyers and a lot of supply hit hard.

Demand> Supply

4. Demand

No matter when cards get listed, you can still tend to gauge demand. How many are getting bought?

How high are open bids going?

If open bids approach or surpass the lowest buy now that is fantastic. It tends to take multiple cards off the market at once. They buy the open bid and the losing bidder goes to buy the cheapest card

5. Overnight Listings

Overnight listings can create barriers that are tough for cards to break. People tend to list lower than 3+ hour listings, so if there are quite a few cards listed overnight it can harm the price rising.

Felix had 4 listings around 670 and I didn't know if he could break it last night. He clearly did and it let his price rise astronomically. Zaha stayed right where we predicted and rise halted almost exactly at 480K.

We also truthfully got a bit of a lucky push by EA adding dynamic images and they DO add value to the card

If you are new to this type of trading the very best thing you can do is start watching. Count pages, look at supply, watch buyers. This is the old school method of learning the market, but I am doing my best to summarize and simplify it for you!

Lastly, Discord pushed in a huge allotment of you yesterday and it looks close to normal on my end! If you have issues, be sure to disconnect and reconnect your account! Link below
