Hey Guys, 

One of the most liked promos of the year is on the horizon! I understand each year we get people new to Fifa, so I will give an overview of what to expect! 

Futmas should begin right around Friday, December 11th. It seems they made this TOTGS one week to leave ample time for Futmas, so I would expect it to start very soon after. Last year it released December 13th, which was also a Friday. 

Previously, they actually released player SBC’s at midnight and I thought that was super fun, but I’m also biased as it’s more fitting with the US timezone. I expect it to be 6 PM UK like last year to include the majority of their users! 

Futmas is a fan favorite promotion as there are tons of SBC’s and ways to grind the menu, which we all love for taking a break from playing! You see a ton of Daily Challenge SBC’s, Player SBC’s and Upgrades SBC’s! 

2 Player SBC’s should be released each day of this promotion! Last year they were based on a league ranking and a national team ranking. 

Day 1 of Futmas started with the #1 ranked national team and a 12th ranked league team. These continue descending for national rank and ascending for league rank. 2nd ranked nation team + 11th league, so on and so forth. 

Will it be the exact same this year? I’m not sure, but I can tell you it will be obvious after the first 1-2 days. The other approach they could use and have used previously are kit numbers!

Other things I expect to see within this period include TOTY Nominees and Icon SBC’s! TOTYN are cards that get a +1 due to their inclusion as a nominee. Their biggest market implication is usually dropping their gold versions over time and becoming great cards to trade with. Quite a few often end up becoming SBC fodder, too! 

As you can likely guess, the best way to invest for Futmas is SBC fodders! This is simply because we get a few weeks straight of 2 player SBC’s daily, so it really is tough for fodder demand not to increase within that period.

I will be the first to say that fodders are NOT cheap right now. We’ve been hit with a variety of really good SBC’s lately and they’ve been spaced very close together. These recent SBC’s include Alessandrini, Aguero, POTM Felix and 3 Icon SBC’s. They haven’t given fodder time to come down, but I don’t see a period where it will before Futmas. 

 The first move I like is one for higher budgets. It’s club stocking 1 of each 82-85 rated inform. Yes, they are already high, but most currently have no supply. When SBC’s come out requiring them they only tend to go higher! 

We are looking to buy at or under the current “floor” price of each inform rating. Each inform rating has new developed a set price point and cards will continue to  rise to that point out of packs. For example, there are no current 83 IF’s under 16.5K on PS. If a new 83 Inform comes out and is sitting around 14K you know it’s a good investment as it will be used in solutions until it catches up to other IF’s of the rating. 

This is a perfect way to club stock or mass invest weekly by the way. The ROI isn’t huge, so that’s why it would have to be done in mass for huge profits.

The only concern here from an investment standpoint is that EA release a TOTW tradable, but I’m not too concerned. Last year they ended up releasing one for 24 hours and the only impact it had was giving us another reason to buy again haha. 

Now what gold fodder still looks viable? 

82-84’s have by far the least inflation right now and I definitely expect to see SBC’s requiring them! If you are willing to hold, I can see some really good profit here still and as always, more on Xbox for fodders!

You will likely be able to get some better prices at periods of supply like Thursday rewards or Marquee Matchups, but I wanted to get you guys some looks as I know of you go crazy buying hundreds! 

Lastly, if you are looking to go unassigned and willing to hold for around a month I would HIGHLY recommend doing so with Premier League Rares or Ligue 1 Rares. They are used for their respective upgrade packs during TOTY and both will at least double. Last year, Ligue 1 had more hype due to Yedder making it, so I prefer Premier League. 

You can likely due this up to 1 more week if you want to move into Futmas first, but after people will begin to look and give you more competition. 

I may add to this list depending on supply and I will also compile a huge list of non rares to look for Thursday for all the Daily Challenge SBC’s! Should be an easy way to double coins again just like Black Friday :)
