Why do we do it this way, instead of linking directly to the Google Drive in each battlemap post?

Unlike most other cartographers, we're offering just a two month backlog of battlemaps. This is because Luke's an absolute mapmaking beast who paints 50-100 new battlemaps each month, but it's also in the hope of reducing Patreon's high churn rates. Ultimately, we want to bring our pricing down every time we hit a certain increase in subscribers (this won't increase our profits, but it makes what we do more accessible to everyone in difficult times. More on that here).

By only having download links directly from each tier's backlog posts, we don't have to go back and edit a bunch of previous posts every month to remove download links. It's way faster for us, and in being faster, we can still (hopefully!) get a living wage from what we do while lowering the prices to be affordable for GMs who are disabled like me (Beb!) or have recently lost their jobs due to AI... or are just generally feeling the strain of the current economy.
