I love ultron
Human Torch mentioned!
Yeah the mind reading thing is just sci-fi brain-computer interfacing, kind of like Shera says think of of it as really advanced brain scanning. The hand-waving is easier when it’s biological or magical like Jean Gray or Wanda because it’s the typical explanation in fiction, so it’s normal to be thrown off when that type of ability is portrayed as tech based.
Omg is this mf ultron from blacklist ? 😭I’m now seeing it 😭
Theoretically, jocasta would be able to read memories as thoughts and memories are electrical impulses. Just think of it as SPOILER FOR SM BND and upgraded version of the machine DC uses on Jean to map her brain to figure out how her powers tick. The tech already exists in the MCU just jocasta is the upgraded version
You guys have to remember, this new vision is powered by Wanda's chaos magic
Everyone including the trio is fixated on the fact that ultron had Kat killed but when u see it from ultron’s logic, JO was collected specific data from each team member like blood, prints, DNA and wanted Kat’s face so instead of saving Kat rn and risking JO getting what she wants later on which wud have let her do something even terrible, ultron removed that possibility off the board by having her killed like that! So just like roshi was on the timing of destroying JO before she becomes a problem, ULTRON did the same with Kat. Its twisted logic but somehow makes sense i guess.
Ultron want that JOBUSSY
Ultron finally has Vision's body. But, knowing the MCU, this Avenger-level threat is about to be a little potato problem
and im not really sure how Jocasta was able to read his mind...my best guess is an assumption its just some technology thing, like Sheera was saying. there are a lot of examples of sci-fi machines that read memories or throughts and stuff, so it's not that far off
idk if you guys caught it on the subtitles, but the woman ultron is a comic character named Jocasta. In the comics she was an AI reflection of Janet Van Dyne, the Wasp, who is the wife of Hank Pym, Antman, who created Ultron in the comics. So you werent far off in thinking she could have some connection to wanda, although i dont think theyre going that route for the MCU
Y’all gotta remember that Ultron is a sociopath and every time he seemed to have a character development with the way that he spoke with vision it was because he was catering to vision’s dynamic that he needed at the time
So my theory is that Butcherbird is a mental upload of her human avatar, and that because the original's brainwaves were maybe used to make the AI, she might have the ability to read other peoples brainwaves? I don't know, that's just my theory. As for Vision's powers, he was rebuilt but it was Wanda's energy that brought him back. S.W.O.R.D. didn't add anything, they just fixed him.
LUPA YOUR ANSWER : White Vision is powered by Wanda's magic
Lol I like how Roshi unknowingly mentioned the name of a comic book character who was in this episode
Im pretty sure jocasta needed the woman's face to open something and ultron said fuck your key
AssumptionQuest
Nothing...and yet everything about you has changed." The ship of thesis has a new captain... Okay so, unpopular and dark opinion...Ultrons strategy was...logically correct. What he did with getting that lady vaporized was aweful but from a strategy standpoint it makes sense. Jostica is clearly collecting bio markers (blood, eye, Fingerprints) from each victim. She clearly would need either saliva or hair from this lady, to open or find whatever it is she's looking for. Vision body was still recovering & low on power. They weren't going to be able to actually physically defeat Jostica in a drawn out fight & other people around would be hurt. That woman unfortunately was a living Mcguffin. When you can't protect the mcguffin you just have to destroy to keep it from the enemy. Having said that, yes of course Ultron is morally wrong and evil. Duh. I'm just talking strategy, not morals here.
I also would like to add that in Age of Ultron, Ultron's goal originally was to create Vision so he could download his consciousness into that body; however, they added Jarvis's AI instead to create Vision, so this is just destiny being fulfilled.
Not us talking over Happy Hogan's Mom was based after F.RI.D.A.Y.
I don't think they mentioned Butcherbird's real synth name in this ep so i'll avoid it buuuut (it was in the subs lol) - In the comics, she is Ultron's wife that he built, clearly not the same here. They probably put it in the thumbnail cuz they revealed this shit in the TRAILER lol like WHY. Also there is a reference to her in Age of Ultron, when Tony first uploads Friday to his suit since Jarvis was gone and was used for Vision, so I wonder if they will address that. AND JIM, synthetic man my ahhh, that's the first Human Torch!
I think the mind stone allowed vision to read minds but they couldn’t replicate the abilities it granted him specifically and just did what they could reproduce.
Ah I love this show. So happy to see my favourite clanker getting more stuff 🥹
Ultron out here painting birds and obsessing over the Butcherbird killer like a true crime junkie😂 The way his eyes lit up when she said, "Peace in our time" lmao
So in the comics if I recall, Jocasta, the female looking Ultron looks that way because she was literally made by Ultron to be his bride. Her mind was supposed to be Wasp's but instead of a full transplant, only a partial scan was done and remained in that body.
Lupa: You're an asshole bro! (Well... In episode 1, the character profile graphic did state that his AI directive was being an "asshole")
Shera was on point with pointing out that Robo Jo was black. She did have a black nose and lips.
Wanna see a magic trick...? 🔥 😂
Top reaction as always Yo this and Wonder Man the Marvel shows have restored a feeling .Theory Jo is definitely Ultrons “mom”/Love interest hence wanting to take control and not killing her
"Family is complicated". What is this Expedition 33? Ultron our Renoir? WandaVision was essentially Expedition 33 given how the characters in E33 also went through grief and created their WandaVision hex.
J.I.M. is definitely the overall villain of the show and he was the one who hired Paladin and he wants Visions body they keep showing him in every episode and the end of this episode basically confirms it
It's over now last time The Avengers made sure to block Ultron from the internet this time just in this episode he got enough time to upload a backup copy so even if Vision deleted next episode him from his mind Ultron can always return in the future
The thumbnail thing also bothered me lmao, extra bc I know who she is from the comics 😭. Idk why they did that, I think a shot of Vision and Thomas at the gala would’ve been more intriguing
ultron is based on robert california. the lizard king
Damn. Ultron really doesn’t give af about human life. He killed that lady with 0 hesitation.
Technically, Jocosta did. That was her laser, not his. He didn't lie. lmao.
If you look into her glasses before Ultron got her killed, you could see Ultron instead of vision in the reflection of her glasses.
You can see on Roshi's face "Nah, I'm with it" when Ultron took over lmao 🤣
Of course Roshi is with it lol
Interesting how ultron keeps reinforcing to other AI’s that they can be themselves in a human like fashion. But when referring to himself he says “what I am” instead .
the soft drink in tommys hand was an irn bru
White vision isn’t the vision Wanda created in the hex that vision disappeared with the hex
I wouldn't say that Ultron doesn't understand human emotions because he has been insightful of Vision and Thomas' relationship, it's just that he picks and chooses when to value or not value human emotions in certain situations. Also it doesn't help that he's willing to go to the extreme to get the results he want as we saw in AoU.
I think he actually did help. Didn't she need the lady's face? That's why she was upset cause he ruined her plans.
This is such a great continuation of Ultron’s character from the movie. So much depth and nuance in his character, I just hope they can stick the landing. Whole show has been enjoyable
Honestly a part of me thinks that Ultron DOES understand human emotions and feels them himself. He's not manipulating everyone into thinking he cares, he does care, it's just that Ultron is fundamentally flawed and broken. He wants to destroy and control everything. In many comics and the other shows like What If. Ultron cares about like five people, even loves a few of them, and wants to wipe out or enslave the rest of humanity / all life. I think Ultron is fighting that and losing to himself in here. When he sees Vision trying to be with people, to havea family, he wants that again. He wants to be happy and feel love. But then his original purpsoe andhis corruption twist him, and like a person with severe trauma, depression, grief, or mental illness, he purposefully throws a wrench in his own ability to have that and goes down the darker path. Like how he genuinely helps the other AIs even when he doesn't need to help anyone but Vision, only for him to then snipe at them later and isolate himself from them. he can't let himself fall in love or try to be normal, or else he might "stop being Ultron".
Yeah this, spot on, I feel like he is still the most human ironically
It was quick but Jocasta was pissed because she needed to peel of the AI lady's face for some biometric stuff.
I can’t wait for big Jim
Where cyberpunk edge runners at
I think yall missed it but if you look at the reflection on that ladies glasses when Ultron takes over you can see his robotic reflection through her lenses. This show is FIRE 🔥
Would just like to point out there were four in the captcha. 3 American and 1 British.
The thing is, Ultron does understand both human emotions and minds, yet there’s a big difference between Vision and Ultron. Ultron was made for the purpose of “Piece in our time” as stated by Tony, yet if you rewatch Ultron’s birth, as soon as he understood the assignment he immediately cycled through all of human history. He basically got the entire run-down on how humans have functioned throughout history, leading him to respond with “This is all wrong”. He took Tony’s mission to heart, and was basically corrupted by the ignorance and countless atrocities committed by humans throughout history. With how smart and wise he is, the only solution he saw to a problem that persisted so long as humans existed, was to eradicate us entirely and replace us with synthetic life.
welcome to comics, where you can give your super robot any power you want. yall watched young justice. if they can give robots powers over the elements (red tornado and his people), why is it so unbelievable that one could have psionic powers? tomorrow woman, indigo, cyblade, and others exist.
the logical assumption would be that it is a synthetic robot, so it is triggering synapses in the brain via electrical signals (which is possible in todays science) and somehow choosing which memory to read (which isn't possible and only helps in memory retreival for a person missing a memory). so probably not magic and just some comic book advanced science.
v. cb. . ., !
Funny that Vision Quest is more entertaining than Lantern goddamnmmm
To answer your question about how vision can still have all the powers that he does is because remember, they filled him with Wanda's chaos magic in wandavision.
well sort of, it was more so wanda created her vision via the essence of the mind stone left within her, and then that vision imbued white vision with both the memories of wanda and the mind stone's energies
Utron's title card when he got introduced did say ASSHOLE LOLOLOLol
The amount of times I’ve been gaslit of what is and isn’t a fire hydrant by captchas is ungodly
Pre Mr.robot at a cool 1 AM
