I originally thought that Chaeni was actually the kid back then and the reason she couldn't remember was cause the rock fell on the kids head and messed up her memories after regeneration

I absolutely love the missing noodles bit lol. It’s little things like that that show how lovingly dumb the characters are. This show has amazing characterization. And for her powers, my theory is even though the heart was transplanted, because Chae-ni didn’t have “phenol” in her system, it acted as a normal transplant, which is why it was failing and she was sick in episode 1. Then, when she was in the water, the “phenol” entered her system and jumped started the heart, which gave her the enteral life power. But, she also gained teleportation because that was her power from her own body, not the transplanted heart.
