It's weird that I just recently tried using that feature for the first time and found out why it didn't work and never even checked this post.

Yea it stopped working on my phone after some Patreon update I guess. Luckily I can watch y’all on the big screen with my computer. Thanks for acknowledging the issue though

I threw my old Roku out lmao it was allowing my to AirPlay other creators videos but not y’all so I was like oh this is old any way 💀 I feel validated knowing the issue wasn’t just my own though lol

I’m glad to know I wasn’t alone! This issue has been happening for 2 months and it’s only for THEIR CONTENT everyone else’s works. Hopefully it gets fixed I hate using screen mirroring from my phone to the tv the videos come out super dark

I have found out it’s not working on my phone and I don’t know if that’s because I don’t have the 26 update but I have found out that it works fine on my iPad

A tip for people who use a smart tv you can use the internet app and use Patreon through that.

Yeah it’s weird cause it works with all the other channels I follow except y’all.

If you don’t wanna use screen mirror, you can cast from the browser (safari, etc). The cast works as soon as you un-mute the video. If you try this way and it’s still not working request the desktop version of the site on your phone instead of the mobile one.

it could be the file you’re uploading. if it’s too large, people are going to have issues streaming it over airplay.

bruh i thought it was just me 😭 but yea it’s only with y’all’s videos, i did do research and it might have something to do with the way the video is being processed and uploaded, but for anyone wanting to know my work around, i have to go on my ipad and use the patreon browser, not the app, and then airplay, and it works fine, for some the browser might work for your phone but for me it doesn’t, patreon lock in 😤

Don't even know what that is, Ive been using an HDMI to watch with a monitor through my steam deck lol

For anyone looking for something to stream from your phone/computer to tv I use Web Video Caster. Been using it for like 10yrs. Its essentially a browser, load the Web page you want then tap the cast button, it will search for any castable devices (Chromecast, Roku, Samsung TV, Firefox TV, Apple TV). Select the device you're using and it will connect and cast your content

For the people: I would like to know if anyone had the same problem for other patreons other than (YaboyRoshi) Because if this was on every other patreons there would be actual pandemonium! But so far I've yet to seen any post, on any forum about it.

If your AirPlay has a like stop sign thingy where the video play bar is then it’s because certain videos you try to cast can’t cast from your phone to the device due to some type of quality difference like my iphone 14 wont cast any of roshii stuff but my iphone 16 will hope that helps

If yall want to have a solution to this problem, yall just have to directly screen mirror and just adjust your TV to what it is displaying. Yall wont be able to use your phone and loose a little bit of quality but it will also be easier to rewind and stuff.

I started using an app called web video cast. I added it to my fire stick/ tv as well and just connect my two apps. It’s been working great for me lately for anyone that wants a temporary solution.

A work around is screen playing the whole phone to a tv. You won’t be able to watch other videos while it plays but it does work wonders

If you go to Patreon on safari and use the AirPlay feature from there it usually works. It’s a workaround until Patreon fixes the bug.

I put this in another comment section but you can still airplay from your phone if you use the website. I don’t know about androids, but with iphones once you log into patreon and click the video, you have set it to desktop mode instead of mobile and then you can airplay from there. I don’t know why the app doesn’t work for their videos but this is the solution I’ve found.

Yeah AirPlay is fucked for the app not just your videos. I can have perfectly stable and lightning fast internet connection in my own home and it still doesn’t work most of the time.
