aight, this is unbearable, its so bad, cant finish this
Depending on how the next episode or two goes will solidify my feelings.
idk man, these 3 episodes and this whole set piece was such a such a drag. We get a couple nice flashbacks with the uncle but otherwise not much happens. Many repeating scenes in the house and even the ones showing different perspectives didn't offer much. Execution could've been better. Hopefully it picks up now.
The premise is really cool. It feels like there are budget constraints. It had a whole shootout off screen.
I'm grateful that we've come full circle and moved beyond the house. While there was some contrivances with Jiang and Minhye pausing for dramatic effect, I'll allow it for raising the tension. Seems like Jinman practiced a more hardcore variant of "Miyagi-Do"; subtly acclimating Jiang to stressful situations with mundane tasks to foster her survival instincts, then at certain milestones imparting hard practical skills like martial arts and marksmanship that she imbibed as simple self-defence training, without exposing her to his actual lethal trade and associates. With her memory affected by CPTSD she could be supressing a number of additional skills, so I trust there'll be more flashbacks - which I enjoy for the record. I imagine Jinman planned to tell her everything eventually, but at least he had the foresight to leave contingencies like the code chip protocol. Minhye potentially being a former lover of Jinman sounds touching, and while she seems very competent, enough to make the attackers pause, I'm not getting attached. She could be playing a long game. I'm curious how "Brother" infiltrated the storeroom, or if he was always there? The premise with the codes allows for infinite allies and enemies to appear in service of the plot, so we'll see. At first I was curious as to why so many people are gunning for Jiang, but as Sheera said; Jiang is literally sitting on a fortune of contraband weapons, supplies and probably a wealth of intel in the form of contacts and logistics, beyond all the currency that's all worth. It'll be interesting to see if Jiang truly inherits the family business, or cuts her losses for a "normal" life.
I get why they didn’t just rush the place. She technically has all the weapons, so if she had something like a bomb, lots of people would die without even getting anything
Please watch K2 and Stove League. Both are awesome kdramas. K2 has the actor from Worst of Evil. And Stove League has the actress from Extraordinary Attorney Woo
The scope is an existing real model, and it was designed to be used closed like that during the day, with only a pinhole opening inside
hmmm is her school friend an opp or he just super useless bc why he leave that door open and smile oddly saying "it's really here" like that
ok i was about to say the assassin lady's korean accent is bad she's a bad actress but then realized she's supposed to be a mandarin assassin so it makes sense her accent isn't perfect lol
Yeah I'm pretty sure that was a production mistake with the scope cap 😂
thats a real scope and it has tiny hole. that is supposed to look like that.
i always found it funny how she never doubted what kinda person her uncle was knowing that he was in possession of firearms, bought her a bulletproof closet and was constantly training her to protect herself
Roshi nowadays there are things you can put on the scope to stop that snipers glare you see in videogames. That’s why it looks like the sight is blocked.
The scope might be closed lmao
In a way her uncle taught her all the necessary skills without ditectly involving her in a criminal empire.
