THey dont need to put fabric inside anything for jeanist. He doesnt control cloth he controls anything woven into a fiber. Those cables are raw steel compounded hundreds or thousands of times. A single hair for example he cant control. But if you braided hair than he could manipulate it. most steel cables have a ring formation with a cluster of strands in the middle, and then repeating clusters of the same around it and all twisted in a spiral. That pattern repeats to get wider stronger cable. Its all just raw metal but its composition lets him use it. Weirdly enough the only thing they never really utilized with jeanist is muscle fibers. He should be able to control peoples movements as well if he really tried. The clusters of muscle fibers are almost identical to steel cabels when connecting muscle to bone.

I think Captain Celebrity was just doing a last ditch effort to try and protect Koichi, since him taking the brunt of the fall plus his shield on Koichi gives him a better chance of surviving- not that it’s a guarantee. He def didn’t think it would save himself alone

I'm pretty sure CC was so hurt/weak that his barrier wouldn't save him from a fall at that height. Even while putting it around Koichi he is praying for someone to save them so I think they're both just toast if they hit the ground, with Koichi having slightly better odds of surviving.

The one part that killed me was Koichi being a dumbass in not understanding CC’s “dying wish” (AND this is assuming he might kick the bucket, but idk that as an anime watcher before anyone thinks I’m spoiling anything).
