Slime for Delicious in Dungeon
Hey all! I know a lot of you wont be happy with this decision however we will be replacing Slime with Delicious in Dungeon on the schedule. We have to make the decision thats best here, the material is just not there for reaction content and we'd rather check out other things. I will also say it has NOTHING to do with lack of action (we've watched SEVERAL shows with minimal action) the direction is just in our opinion not that great. Either way thank you all for checking out the Slime reactions we've had so far. Delicious will make its way back onto the schedule next week!

hey roshi, any way you guys gonna continue slime? season 3 does actually pickup in the second half(yes the meeting room tables lets up) and season 4 has been good so far and they've switched up meeting room tables for a much more interesting way to discuss things when they have to.

I know i'm late as fuck but hopefully you'll still read this. I just finished season 3 of slime and really loved it. I totally understand why you'd drop it for reactions, but I at least recommend you'll watch it in your free time if you can, even in the future, if you're interested in the world, characters, and in season 4. Maybe watch it right before season 4 comes out (it was confirmed but no date yet), and then do reactions of season 4. Have a great day and thanks for all of your reactions!

As a anime watcher and light novel/manga reader of all sorts. I know the feeling. It's their decision to make so we're just in it hahaha. I like slime and it's understandable. I stopped watching dungeon meshi after 2 episodes. Some really do have their choices and opinions but alls good 🤗👍

If you're wondering about it getting cancelled that is definitely not happening it is way too popular and Shield Hero had a way worse second season and came back for a 3rd season and it is not even close to being as popular as slime and they can't really cancel it because the next season will consist of some of the most complex plots in the series so far with new characters and epic fights and the season after that will have even better fights in fact it will mostly be fights with Rimuru getting even stronger
I like totally understand this decision but like please pick up the slime anime when the arc ends even tho the worldbuilding pays off, i just love the reactions from u guys from this anime and i promise u it gets so much better with next season. Tune down the hate yall. You gotta be a Novel/Manga reader to be able to keep your eyes open watching this. I did both so that's why I fine with the pacing ( 'cause I know it's there for a reason ) but I can only imagine how painful of a watch that is for anime only. It's a bit of a shame but definitively understandable. Watching the trio suffer from unparallel boredom ain't the type of reaction I'm paying for.
Some of these people are being mad weird in the comments. Acting like that banished the show for good and crashing out talking about views and shit. They can always pick it up a season or two later if they feel like it. Let them do their thing. Reality is that everybody who knows Slime knows it was gonna be a slow burn until the BN. yeah honestly i get it although i dont see Delicious in Dungeon being necessarily the best replacement. It does pick up a bit but the rhythm is pretty on par with Slime. Even I have basically put Slime on the sidelines until i feel like binging it.

thank you for giving dungeon meshi another shot, as much as I love slime I understand where y'all are coming from, its dialogue heavy but I feel that it falls short at making the dialogue compelling. the dialogue in dungeon meshi gets really good and the world building is very beautiful. slime only made me cry once and delicious and dungeon got my ass crying every 3rd episode

Honestly, I'm fine with this. Delicious in Dungeon is a very good story. Personally, I enjoyed it from beginning to end, but I can understand how some might find it slow.

I just noticed that you guys look consistently bored in each and every thumbnail of slime. From episode 1 to 13 of season 3 it is just completely bored expressions. I have been subbed for almost 3 years (Ended up joining during the YJ reactions) and I don't think that has ever happened before.

You guys shouldn't have to feel like you're forcing yourself to react to something if it ain't hitting and even if it was because of no action that would be fine too people have different tastes. I love Dungeon Meshi, and while there are absolutely some hype action packed episodes, great lore (delivered well lmao), and some dark moments, the overall formula doesn’t change too much. The cooking aspect is a mainstay (though through that they deliver a lot of info about the world/characters tbf). Just hope y’all understand that before getting back into it.

I've never watched Slime or Dungeon Meshi, but I feel like all shows have reaction potential. The problem comes when a reactor isn't able to entertain the audience, which usually happens because the reactor isn't enjoying the show. Obviously, there are exceptions. I remember the reactions of Tokyo Revengers when Lupa often seemed bored (and/or very annoyed with Takemichi). Despite his boredom and/or frustration, he'd often made jokes about what was happening. There were some people who left comments saying they were annoyed because the trio wasn't quote "paying attention" to the quote "important information" on sceen, but there were also people who thought Lupa made a boring show hilarious. Again, I haven't watched Slime or Dungeon Meshi, so I'm unable to speak to these specific shows. However, if the reactors are bored, and if they can't make entertaining content out of their boredom, it makes sense to move on (especially if the show isn't getting enough views). Fingers crossed that Dungeon Meshi is enjoyable for them this time. If not, hopefully they can make entertainment out of their boredom.

slime peaked at the demon lord transformation and since season 3 it got as bad as misfit demon lord
Slime died when the author decided to have all the possible good antagonist hold hands with the hero and shout kumbaya. Theres very little the world building can carry the story without good villain.
Yeah, as a LN reader, he should have gone way darker with the demon lords, they come off as quirky fun dudes in later volumes. A more adversarial story, with yuuki, luminous, granbell, the empire, the demon lords only slightly together, the dwarves, and rimuru would have been better. Everything just gets tied together and it's all hunky dory in no time. There was tension up until there wasn't.
Man you could have replaced Slime with anything instead of another show you already dropped there are many hidden gems out there that deserve a reaction like The Fable or Viral hit or some of the older shows you haven't watched in any case ill be watching regardless of what you decide
New animes seem to fall apart in a few episodes how about something we know is good? Something older.

I'll respect your decision either way, but if you're picking up Dungeon Meshi now, again, why was it even dropped in the first place? Why not replace Slime with something you want to watch this time around, or finish what you're started with Slime? If Dungeon Meshi gets boring for you again, which it probably will, do we get Slime back?

Absolutely agree with the decision. Season 3 has had some horrendous pacing issues, even compared to the manga/novels.
Just a heads up roshi dungeon meshing follows the same tone throughout really. It'll get bits of excitement here and there so if it didnt catch you guys in the first few episodes it might not from where you left off. I kept with it and tbh didnt make much difference to me🤣. I think people just hyped up like a few episodes. I would say at the risk of not enjoying that again maybe replace it with something else. Just a suggestion.👊

Its in this politics arc for like 2 or 3 years now.. maybe more. However I dont think it makes sense to replace it with a show that wasnt for you guys or good react content either.
Slime is not 99% politics. Season 4 and onwards will have much more action and far less politics like this. vol 7 was the scheming arc and vol 8-9 which the rest of the season will cover is the festival arc which brings many nations together. They did however fuck up the pacing much of this season

I’d really suggest you guys watch Delicious in Dungeon in English this time. The dub is excellent, one of the best I’ve heard in a long time! I’ve seen both versions, and I think the comedy works way better in English (or at least it usually does in your native language). If you had trouble connecting to the show before, this might help!

Totally understand if this is what you have to do. Does really feel like there isn’t a lot of stakes in eps of Slime there been, granted the next arc is there, but hard to get excited when there aren’t as much stakes in what we seen in the anime so far this season.

Laughing at and mocking the people who are disappointed is not okay. Getting upset at the people who are excited about Dungeon Meshi is not okay. Why can't people be respectful?

Meshi they dropped it after like 1-2 episodes so its not even close to a comparison cause Meshi takes a few episodes to set things up and get going compared to a 3rd season mind you that has already aired 13 episodes and they didn't enjoy that. Read back the message Roshi said when they dropped Meshi, they dropped it cause they thought it wasn't good for reactions but they still enjoyed watching it. Now reaction material is weak for a few episodes but IMO it gets way better later on sooo I guess they are giving it a shot! Now if they don't vibe with it by Ep 13 then I can agree

I’ve found it hard to watch most of slime this season. Unfortunately I think the studio working on it doesn’t know how to keep the set-up portions interesting. I feel like it’d be an enjoyable read or maybe if all of this season was already out it’d be easier because you could binge it
Doubt it. The studio just doesn't know how to make a good show. They skipped a lot of ''hard'' plotlines in the past. Did you know that Ramiris actually tries to constantly mind control Rimuru? Or that most of the isekai kids have an artificial spirit?
Anyone who comes at them, don't forget AoT had a lot of episodes where it was just constant talking, but that shit was actually engaging with characters and pieces still moving even without the action.

Nice! It's one of the few shows I've been following this season and one of the even fewer manga I've gone as far as buying physical copies of. It is a bit of a slow burn to start but once you get invested it's so worth it.

I kinda disagree, Kui does a lot of set up early on and while the tone does change it's not like it becomes a different show. One of the things I really appreciate about it is that it never abandons the root themes of the show, just expands on them.
Also, y’all should watch either Horimiya or Fruits Basket after Dangers in my Heart. Both are really good watches! One is peak high school shenanigans thats absolutely hilarious and other is a great mix of comedy and seriousness.

I’m finishing up Dungeon Meshi and it’s so good! I will say to definitely keep an open mind and let it cook (pun intended lol). The first couple episodes are somewhat slow still. While the series doesn’t get mega crazy, it only gets more and more interesting every episode and the characters are super likeable. Just keep in mind the whole cooking thing is a constant in the show obviously. Basically keep reasonable expectations and I’d say it definitely picks up and gets better every episode.
