This week we leave the island of Boa Vista and head towards the island of Sao Nicolau, and I sense a problem. We set sail anyways. Conditions are ideal to be sailing in The Cape Verde Islands. And I'm accompanied by a fantastic crew mate. My dear friend Marizia who has never sailed so far before. It doesn't get better than this.

yes Alex you are very very lucky. Marizia is a lovely soul and a great crew mate. FYI I'm in Cork Ireland, we had 3 lock downs which were designed to keep our hospitals from collapsing etc. However 90% of us are now fully jabbed and we are seeing 1500 cases a day now which seems normal but hospital admissions are way down so to us here life is back to normal except we wear masks in shops and the pub when moving around. our last lockdown was in May 21, Covid will be around for a while and will pass but the damage being down economically to the small guy on the street is bad. You're obviously responding to my commentary. Seems like the world is getting back to normal. It seems like it here as of late. They've lifted some restrictions for the summer. Lots of Cape Verde expats are here on vacation, and life seems to be back in swing. Around 80% are vaccinated here, I'm due for my second shot soon. Cheers and stay well.
