Episode 9 | Failure Is Not An Option
Ola Winded Voyagers. It was the most difficult sail of my sailing career, yet the most rewarding because I made it.
Going up the Sao Vicente Canal in it's fury is when failure is not an option. I had to get to Mindelo Bay, and I did. Under sail only, a huge achievement for any blue water sailor. But then I had good reasons. I had people to meet and a gear box problem to fix. And when you immerse yourself in the country you sail to by learning the language and helping people,things just seem to go your way.
