Episode 36 | Carnaval & Boat Hitchhikers
Hello everyone!
I decided to stay in Santa Cruz for its Carnaval. And I'm very happy I did. It did not disappoint and hope you will enjoy it with me in this and future episodes. Carnaval did not just bring music and partying. In this episode we meet a boat hitchhiker. Foreign creatures to me until I took one on board a few days and learned a lot about who they can be and their sometimes different habits. I really like this episode, hope you will too.
Big hugs and much love!
Alex

Oh my, this video brought back so many memories of when I was hiking 1,700 miles of the Appalachian Trail. Especially the part about doing laundry, all my clothes were WAY over due to be washed so I put on my poncho and washed ALL my clothes at a laudrymat. Many stares and whispers among the little old ladies there. OH what a HOOOT! Thank you so very much Alex for helping the fellow hiker and for all that you do to share your journey.
Hola Tree! I'm with the hippies now! On the island of La Gomera anchored in frontbof a secluded beach inhabited by Rainbow folks. Already made some friends. Will be great episodes. I kinda miss my hitchhiker friend. But she's made it to Senegal! Peace my friend.
I read an article last night about Anthony Bourdain describing his philosophy for traveling. "He’s far more interested in getting a sense of the rhythms and smells and flavors of a place, a task that requires patience and a willingness to explore." It reminded me of you Alex. Thanks for sharing the flavors.
He's right, and some friends have made a similar comparison. You've got to get a full mouthful of the place you visit in every way possible. Thanks Tim.
