Bring Me Bread, Give Me Shade! A Sailboat, a Market & a Message in a Rainbow | S8E18

Hello friends,

As some of you may know my mom passed away a few weeks ago and I traveled to Switzerland. I did not have time to work on a new episode until now. So here it is.

A storm ripped the zipper off my awning, so the crew, the market runs, and a borrowed sound system became my week in Lamin. Karim brought the bread, the guys brought the grilled pork, and I found ten bucks of vinyl that's about to become shade for Galopin. But the morning after the rain, my brother called with news about my mom — and the first rainbow I ever saw here broke over the sky. That was her, in every color.

Much love to you all from The Gambia
