Episode 21 | No Bullsh*t Sailing
Hola amigas y amigos!
Me and Seb get go through a real test of seamanship. We sail from Gran Canaria to Tenerife island and cross one of the reputed acceleration zones. I was prepared, but not for what was to hit us. It was the first time Seb said, "Dad, I'm really scared here!". But once we reefed and got Galopin under control, we just took some salty watery smacks across the face, kept calm and carried on. It was rough, yet epic for the two of us. I'm so happy I was able to make this episode as a souvenir.
Seb's music makes this even more wonderful. Featured are some of my favorite songs he's composed, performed and produced. This is absolutely one of my favorite episodes.

I've got to watch his latest North Sea crossing. I'm a big fan of Vikings (the show) and those dudes are the real thing. There has been a couple of Norwegian and Swedish boats here in Santa Cruz. Those brave dudes sailed from Scandinavia in much smaller boats that Galopin. I would love to meet up with Erik. Even though I'd be a bit intimidated by his big cojones and sailing expertise, I'm sure we have fun slurping a few beers. But I think he thinks the warm climate is for pussies;-) He once remarked how useless hot water is on a boat, and eats cold canned pasta out of the can:-)
