Wendy and I have finally set sail. We are currently doing a tour of the Cabo Verde Islands for the summer before setting off for the continent of Africa.
Now, for a provocative question. Is it OK to sail and drink? On my boat it is. We set sail for the island of Sal 130nm miles away in fantastic sailing conditions with a crew of three on a Jeanneau SunFizz 40. A Frenchman and sailing teacher, beautiful Wendy and myself, captain of the sailboat. Once the sails were adjusted and the boat straight on course, we celebrated being just the three of us on the ocean. In particular us two men quickly became drunken sailors, while Wendy remained a calm and sober lady. We may have been drunk, and remained responsible as we brought crew and boat safely to anchor.
