New Update Coming, Protect Your Mods!

If you are one of the many players who prefer to wait until the mods installer and patcher updates REMEMBER TO NOT LET STEAM UPDATE YOUR GAME!!!

Mods won't work in the new update, so if you don't care about the game update or want to wait for the patcher to update i suggest checking this amazing tutorial by The Modding Corner:

they haven't, although the page was updated, the latest download for the patcher still is the old one

For everyone who's still struggling ! I did this and it worked ! It's really fast also as a method to downgrade the game : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q5uk6qgtW0A

I'm so confused how do I prevent the game from updating?? The video was so confusing I feel stupid

Real quick and this only works if you own the game (to my knowledge) You can actually use the downgrade method but instead of downloading a old depot download the most recent one (as of 7/6/26) and just have a game copy ready to go to copy and paste over if god forbid steam fucks up & updates your game.

So will your mods work after the update or will you be updating them for the new update I'm still new to modding the game?

M
Moon² Keku · July 7, 2026

Ok so first, every update breaks the mod installer, that means you will have to wait for that to be updated before installing mods again, which can take from a day to a few months And second, all my costume, skill and character mods will still work, but stuff like movesets, tail mods and other miscellaneous animation mods can stop working too It all depends on what the update will change, but usually the changes are not drastic

Replacement mods will still work will they?

M
Moon² Keku · July 7, 2026

yes, those usually can still work, you just need to disable every patcher functionality besides the "load loose files" one

Unfortunately, I'll choose to update and wait for the patcher to update before playing the final revamp.

wont the patcher be updated at some point after it

M
Moon² Keku · July 7, 2026

How do you add custom stuff to vanilla transformations like how Inbetweengamer is gonna do? I would really like to be able to do that.

M
Moon² Keku · July 7, 2026

Honestly it's a bit complex unless you already have some knowledge on a bit of everything mod related
