Dog Town: Dachshund and Sausage Express 🌭🐶
A new Dog Town release is here ✨
This set includes an articulated dachshund and its own rolling hot dog food truck — Sausage Express.
I wanted this release to feel playful and collectible, but also interactive.
The dachshund can move, the food truck rolls on wheels, the serving window is open, and there’s even a tiny drawer on the back for mini accessories.
🌼 What’s included
• articulated dachshund
• dachshund keychain version
• 5 dachshund color variations in the prepared 3MF
• Sausage Express food truck
• mini accessory drawer
• sauces
• french fries
• coffee cup
• mini hot dog version
• prepared 3MF file
• JPG preview
🐶 Dachshund features
The dachshund has:
• 3 articulated body sections
• movable head
• movable legs
There is also a keychain version included.
Print settings for the dachshund:
• layer height: 0.16 mm
• supports: not required
🌭 Sausage Express food truck
The truck is designed as a tiny sausage van with a large hot dog on the roof and a side serving window.
Set features:
• rolling wheels
• serving window / counter
• rear mini drawer for accessories
• sauces, fries, coffee and mini hot dog
⚙️ Wheels and functional parts
The wheels are working wheels.
• Wheels attach to the axle without glue
• Press firmly so the axle locks into the wheel holes
• PLA wheels work well on carpet and outdoor surfaces
• For smooth/slippery surfaces, TPU wheels are recommended
The serving window / counter also attaches without glue and clicks into place.
Important:
Do not glue the truck roof, otherwise the dachshund will not fit inside.
🖨️ Print settings
Dachshund
• layer height: 0.16 mm
• supports: not required
Truck
• layer height: 0.16 mm
The decorative environment / small display parts look best at 0.08 mm, but 0.16 mm also works well.
Supports are required only in a few hidden places on the truck base:
• wheel arches
• serving window cutout
• drawer cutout
All support marks are hidden in the finished assembled model.
🎨 Color printing
Most colored truck parts are designed either:
• for minimal AMS waste,
or
• to be printed separately and assembled with glue
The prepared 3MF includes 5 dachshund color options.
🛠️ Assembly notes
Glue is needed for some truck parts.
At the same time:
• wheels attach without glue
• the serving window attaches without glue
• the roof should remain removable

💌 Ideas & Custom Characters
I’m always open to new model ideas and suggestions for future releases.
And one thing I would genuinely love to do: create a tiny character based on your child’s drawing 💛
If your child has drawn a funny creature, animal or little imaginary friend, feel free to send it to me. I would be happy to turn selected ideas into a real 3D character.

Just thinking!! It would be awesome if this could be remixed so we could add in a battery powered light inside to see the dog better. Or maybe even one of the circle led plug in lights to the roof? I am scaling this up to 200% so that its over 10 inches wide so a big light like this would work, but smaller would be even better. I have previously used the LED Lamp Kit 001 for Bambu MH001 that's on Amazon for light boxes. I am thinking the light could be mounted into the roof and the cord could run down the inside somewhere hidden and out the bottom of the van. What do you think? My stepson is in love with dachshunds and he's been running food trucks for years so I think he'd absolutely love this!
Hello, that’s a good idea; I’ll think about how to light up the van. There are one-meter-long string lights available on marketplaces—perhaps I could integrate one into the van.
It's so cute!!
