I have also struggled with the layer masks lately. I can add the mask to the right layer, but then I can never change the color. If I have white already selected when I do the mask then it does what it should, but if I wanted to switch to black to tweak things it refuses to change color. I have re-watched and even googled the issue but no luck so far in figuring out what I am doing wrong.
And you're sure you clicked the layer mask and not the layer itself? If there's a Procreate issue, then it's best to contact the Procreate team, perhaps there's a bug or something
I tried to add black to the layer mask and it didn't show up white. It just stayed the same. Any ideas how to make it appear white?
It's hard to say what you did, are you sure you added the layer mask to the right layer? You can try tracing back your steps to see if you did everything the same
These Videos have honestly been a life saver. I’v always struggled when it comes to backgrounds and having to look through google for certain ones. Because of these tutorials it now allows me to create my own. Without these videos I doubt I would have got the hang of Procreate 😂
