What's going on in the Flocreator Academy?

Another month has passed and a lot is going on in the Flocreator Academy, seeing everyone grow is so amazing to witness 😃

So what's the Flocreator Academy?

The Academy is more than a collection of tutorials. It's a place where we learn, experiment, and grow together as artists. Through Creative Labs, Masterclasses, worksheets, live feedback sessions, and a supportive community, my goal is to help you create artwork that feels uniquely you.

Every month we explore a new creative topic together, complete fun assignments, share our work, and encourage each other along the way. Here's a little peek at what's happening this month!

Creative Lab

Stylization: Make It Your Own

This month we're diving back into stylization! Students choose from three reference photos and decide for themselves how far they want to push their artwork away from realism. By experimenting with shape, proportion, color, detail, and more, they'll explore which creative choices feel most natural to them and continue developing their own artistic voice.

Art Template

Digital Gouache

This month's Art Template is all about Urban Sketching! We'll turn a reference photo into a loose and lively illustration using expressive ink lines and soft watercolor washes. We'll simplify shapes, build up color in layers, and use just enough detail to capture the character of the place without trying to copy every little thing.

Live Feedback Session

Once everyone has had time to complete the homework, we'll meet for another live feedback session. I'll go through all the submitted artworks and share tips and ideas that everyone can learn from. The next live feedback session will be on August 14th.

The Community

One of my favorite parts of the Academy is seeing everyone inspire one another. Students share their work, ask questions, exchange feedback, and celebrate each other's progress. It's becoming such a warm and encouraging creative space.
