What's going on in the Flocreator Academy?
Have you heard about the Flocreator Academy, but aren't quite sure what it is?
The Academy is more than a collection of tutorials. It's a place where we learn, experiment, and grow together as artists. Through Creative Labs, Masterclasses, worksheets, live feedback sessions, and a supportive community, my goal is to help you create artwork that feels uniquely you.
Every month we explore a new creative topic together, complete fun assignments, share our work, and encourage each other along the way. Here's a little peek at what's happening this month!
Creative Lab
Style Mix: Finding Inspiration Without Copying
This month we're exploring how to borrow inspiration from existing art styles while staying true to our own artistic voice. Students choose between two iconic styles, analyze what makes them recognizable, and then combine those characteristics with their own style using one of several reference photos.
Art Template
Digital Gouache
This month's Art Template is all about creating a charming gouache-inspired illustration. We'll explore matte colors, visible brush strokes, simplified shapes, and a limited color palette while painting a cozy countryside scene.
Live Feedback Session
Once everyone has had time to complete the homework, we'll meet for another live feedback session. I'll go through all the submitted artworks and share tips and ideas that everyone can learn from. The next live feedback session will be on July 16th.
The Community
One of my favorite parts of the Academy is seeing everyone inspire one another. Students share their work, ask questions, exchange feedback, and celebrate each other's progress. It's becoming such a warm and encouraging creative space.
Want to Join Us?
If you'd love more guidance, feedback, and a supportive community while discovering your own artistic voice, I'd love to welcome you to the Flocreator Academy. 💛

Is the flo creator academy for complete art beginners?
The Academy is best suited for artists who already have a basic understanding of Procreate. While we do cover art fundamentals, the main focus is on developing your own style, exploring your creativity, and growing as an artist. If you're completely new to Procreate, I'd recommend getting comfortable with the basics first, then you'll be able to get so much more out of the Academy!
Hi Flo, I would like to know roughly at what times the live sessions usually take place. I’m considering joining the academy, but I currently live in Japan, and from here it can sometimes be difficult to coordinate with European time zones. Thank you in advance and best regards, Anna
They are usually around 7PM Amsterdam time, so I think that's 2AM in Japan? I'm sorry for the inconvenience
