Oh, I am so sorry to hear this. I have had recurrent problems with my tonsils as an adult and every time I get COVID I end up with a bad throat infection, which wipes weeks off my life. I ended up hospital unable to swallow in 2018, so even before the pandemic, and had to be treated with antibiotics and steroids. The illness and treatment wiped six months of my life. But what I learned is that the world goes on without you anyway, which is an important lesson! It can be super-tough for kids, but the good thing is the younger they are the quicker they heal (my son got over having this tonsils and adenoids removed at 4). But it's tough watching your little one being ill and in hospital. Don't worry about us: we've got plenty of models to keep us busy. Please look after your loved ones and yourself: everything else can wait.
