"I am the Overlord" New Project Announcement

Digital Crush: Grayfia, the small companion game of Vox Gremory, was completed last month, and since then, I've been hard at work to create another small project to take its place.

This game was voted by you guys, and since then I've created a few more polls to make sure to create something that most of you can enjoy. Today I am ready to announce it, although a release has not been made yet.

What is "I am the Overlord"?

"I am the Overlord" is an Episodic 2DCG Visual Novel, slice of life parody of Overlord, meant to be a companion game to Overlord H Plus. It features both SFW and NSFW episodes taking place during timeskips, a "Daily life in Nazarick" sort of thing.

Some meaningful scenes taking place in either Overlord H or Overlord H Plus may also be recreated and rewritten so you can enjoy the same scene, but in 2D.

It will feature Cut Content and Discarded ideas from Overlord H, and material I had written for its sequel. So, you may encounter some new characters that were never featured, and some that will appear in future in Overlord H Plus. A handy codex will be available in the game, so you can read some trivia about that character and if/where it will appear!

As the title of the game implies, you will be the one to create your own Protagonist: You will be able to choose your skin color like in Overlord H, but you will also be able to pick your gender, and of course your name. The game will be entirely in PoV.

This means you will be able to enjoy M/F or F/M scenes, but also F/F or M/M if you so choose.
You will be able to edit your protagonist at anytime so no restart is ever necessary, you can also toggle the M/M or F/F off, and scenes of that type will never appear in your game - You could even toggle all four off, and the game would only show SFW episodes.

What is an Episodic Visual Novel?

Due to "I am the Overlord" not featuring any main storyline, we've decided to have an episode selector where you decide which scene to watch, and which to skip.
Each episode will be self-contained, but still in a chronological order.

The system is very dynamic, so you can easily filter the list of episodes out depending on your preferences: The first filtering will occur depending on the protagonist you've created (Example: If you toggle M/M off, those scenes will never appear), the second filtering can be done within the Episode Selection screen, you will be able to make it show only SFW scenes (or only NSFW scenes), you will be able to filter out a whole character, so if you don't like Lupusregina, you can toggle her off and she'll appear only in SFW scenes.
You will even be able to filter out episodes you've already watched (Although the game will visually mark them as watched anyway).

Another indirect advantage is that you'll be able to easily rewatch a scene without having to hunt for it in the gallery, skip whatever you don't like without having to go through it to progress the story, or effectively turn the game into {Your favourite character} simulator by toggling everybody else off.
