School of Lust v0.3.2 Progress Report & Survey Results
Hi everyone!
It's time for another progress report on School of Lust, and for those interested, we'd like to share the results of the recent survey. A huge thank you to all of you who have completed the survey. There have been over 500 responses already, which is very much appreciated! Please note that the survey is still ongoing, and can still be completed over here.
Let's begin with the status of School of Lust version 0.3.2; We're getting close to releasing the new update for closed alpha testing. While version 0.3.2 consists of many QoL changes (bug fixes), it will also include new content. One of the new things added to version 0.3.2 is the ability to hire Claire to the Lust Toys shop, which then makes it possible to trigger a new scene inside the shop (while you're observing the shop).
We're doing all we can to release version 0.3.2 (closed alpha testing) before the end of October. If we won't make it before the end of the month, it will release early November, to uphold our monthly (~) release schedule.
To wrap up the progress report, here's a sneak peek (rough sketch) for an upcoming animated scene that we're currently working on, and will be added in a future update. Can anyone guess whose butt this is?
And yes, we're also working on hardcore scenes (with penetration), but we won't spoil those =)
Now on to the survey;
Your top 3 favorite scenes aren't a surprise. The dorm scene was one of our favorites as well! That said, we received a few complaints from you guys/gals regarding Nicole's scene, that the pee content was a bit too much, and with the question if there will be other fetishes that will be similar (e.g. scat).
As we've always said, the sexual content in School of Lust will not include anything too extreme or distasteful (that includes scat). While we understand that pee could also be considered distasteful, we do think it fit her narrative quite well.
The fast majority of you think that the dialogue during the H-Scenes is fine, which is very helpful for us to know! We were afraid that the dialogue during the H-Scenes might've been too short, but 88.1% of you think otherwise. We always try to keep the dialogue short, to make sure not to bore the player with a wall of text. Although, those who voted that the dialogue is too short is not negligible either (8.9%).
Now here's an interesting one. We've asked the same question in the very first survey we did a long time ago, and the results for favorite girls were quite similar. However, Zoe was liked considerably more than Nicole back then. Now Nicole has taken over Zoe! Although, it does make sense, considering back then Nicole barely had any dialogue =)
Here's another one that didn't surprise us. Nicole is just too cute! And Dunia still needs some work.
Almost everyone seems to be enjoying the story! We know that there are still a lot of things that are left unexplained (e.g. alter-ego, island and the end of the hole), but it will all come together by the end.
It looks like quite a few of you (32.6%) want the ability to take over Natalie's body to be optional, which it will be. However, playing as Natalie will trigger new scenes and dialogue in the future, which we think you guys are going to love!
Again, some of you (28.8%) voted that the combat in the Hole should be optional as well. Keep in mind that the Hole is still very much unfinished. We plan to add H-scenes to the "boss students" at the end of each floor, which will make it more rewarding to complete each floor. We're adding more powers to both the player and the students. We're also planning to make it possible in the future to hypnotize the students and send them into the Hole and progress for you. This will make combat in the Hole (almost) entirely optional, but you will miss the H-Scenes if you decide to let the girls do all the work to reach the bottom of the Hole.
The Lust Toys management mechanic should also be optional according to quite a few of you (30.1%), which we also have planned. The Lust Toys management mechanic is still very much unfinished, and we're planning a lot of changes to it, including:
Ability for the staff members to run the shop for you, so you can just let the shop run on its own and collect the money.
More interactivity with customers and staff members (which includes h-scenes).
More ways to make money inside the Lust Toys shop, and please the customers.
Changes to the UI.
We're well aware that earning 1 million $ for the unfinished 'A Large Debt' quest takes way too long right now, but that will change in the upcoming updates.
Finally, we received a lot of amazing suggestions! While we may not reply individually to your suggestions (or feedback), we've read through all of them. They're very much appreciated, and we're planning to add some of them in the future!

why has no one emailed me to my response im still paying for this
Any possibility on an update? It's been a while since we've heard of progress. Whether it's saying a few more days or one or "very close" it would just be appreciated. Maybe there should be specific days in the future where there WILL be updates to keep a schedule. Like maybe an update every Friday. That way there's never more than a week of questions
Further to my previous comment, now stuck in a loop on Monday October 24th and on level 7 and appear to therefore have reached the limits of this version. However I have one locked memory still, 2nd from the far right, top row. What did I miss anyone?

while we're waiting (no offense intended) for the new version release, a couple of things that maybe could be looked at for the next one. Firstly can we make it possible to specify how many teddy bear bombs we are buying? Secondly I've just hit October 10 and level 6 and have to wait until October 21 for the elevator to work again!!!! Lot of useless sleeping/game time; not happy Jan!

Hi MG! Glad you got it sorted out. You need to follow her movements to do the security guard bit. There's a gap in her movement when she turns around towards the "hall". Use that opportunity to go past her and open the doors. Let us know if you need further help. Cheers =)
I'm stuck!!! The morning that Scarlett let's me off school, I can't open the shop or read magic book three the game won't let me and I have nothing else I can do to get to the afternoon, what the F***!

Hi there I'm a bit stuck I need help figuring o I t what to do to unlock the last scene with sofias mom also I got something called a love egg and I dont know what to do
Hi Dragox! Sorry, I completely missed your message. Sofia's mom will appear in the living room, and after you talk to her, you need to enter the church to unlock her scene. The "love egg" is a sex toy, that you can sell in the lust toys shop. Let me know if you need further help. Cheers =)
I would suggest possibly adding a dream realm similar to what you experience after getting hit by the car after watching Zoe in town. Being that Zoe is into the death stuff you could make it to where she introduces you to this odd happy realm that she is trying to get to.

Can u make a H-Memory from the event, where u stay on the street and the bus hits you. Before that u do talk to Zoe. And if i remeber right there was one more H-scene which isnt in the H-memories. Sorry for my bad English.
i would love to see the progress throughout a year, but i dont have the money to do so, so i am gonna hang around every 3-4 month each time giving the money to see the latest version :) im sorry that i cant effort more than that, but as a game i would pay for the outcome

can you make sure it is possible to get every H-scene no matter what? like maybe have time limits on some of them but in the sandbox-esc endgame they are available? I enjoy be able to 100 percent games. Thank you!
I’m having an issue where after i watching the Aiyana Memory, her nipples remain on my screen. And it’s permanent, it remains there whenever I load the game up. Is it fixable of do I need to update?
Hi Brandon! We're aware of this issue and it has been resolved in v0.3.2, so you will have to update. It shouldn't take long now for v0.3.2 to release. Cheers =)
The results are too positive, you should especially look at the ones that a controversial. In surveys like this there is a nonsmall amount of people who simply love the game and think everything is awesome even though they don‘t actually think that. The game has still a long way to go so it is not critical right now but make sure to make more surveys in the future and also ask for reasons! so not just „is it awesome?“ but also if yes then „name main reasons for your decisions“ afterwards to make sure why this option is selected and what is good about it. In typeform this should be possible to realize using the logic options. That being said always remember that your word has more weight than ours. The average person has average taste so take results like this with a grain of salt if you want your game to be more than average (good example is your opinion about Nicoles scene 👍). Last thing: I would have thought that getting a million dollars is so hard on purpose to have a long term goal. I hope it won‘t be too easy in future updates.
Hi Supreme! Thanks a lot for your feedback. I agree regarding the survey questions, and that's why we added the "Other" option, for those that want to enter their answers manually, instead of having to choose between preset answers. It may be a bit confusing though, and adding an additional question to elaborate the choice, might've made more sense. I'll keep that in mind for future surveys. And I also agree that it would be almost impossible to satisfy everyone, and we aren't planning to derail from our initial vision (unless it improves upon it). I mean we've had someone ask if in the future they can have sex with the neighbor's dog. While I won't judge anyone for their sexual fetishes, it's definitely not the kind of content that we plan to add to the game, although Nicole is a grey area =) Regarding the million dollars, it's indeed a long term goal, but the problem right now is that it's not balanced. It may become a bit easier in the future, with the introduction of automated shop management and automated progressing through the Hole. It need to be balanced, so it should be possible to reach a million dollars around the time the main story ends. Cheers =)
Will the next update possibly incorporate a character progression system that shows the protagonist becoming less... "wimpy?"
Hi Gentle! It won't be in v0.3.2, but we're indeed planning to add some kind of progression system where the protagonist becomes more confident. You may have noticed that the protagonist already has become more confident at the later stages of the game. Let us know if you have any other suggestions. Cheers =)
