Hi everyone!
We've received quite a few support requests, since the launch of School of Lust v0.3, and unfortunately we have been lagging on answering all of your questions, so we decided to create this page to answer your most frequently asked questions.
If your question isn't listed here, or if it doesn't solve your problem, please feel free to contact us (if you haven't already), and we'll get back to you asap.
Q: I just pledged. Why does the download portal still say that there are no downloads available?
A: If you've waited an hour, and the downloads still do not show up, please contact us for a download link by e-mail.
The download portal is dependent on the Patreon API to update the user pledges, and unfortunately, sometimes it takes Patreon longer than normal to update their API, which in return affects our download portal. This is mainly the case at the start of the month, when Patreon is especially under heavy load.
Q: How do I use the previous saved files to continue to play where I was left of in an earlier version of the game?
A: If you're playing on Windows, transfer all the files inside your /www/save/ folder into the /www/save/ folder of the new game folder.
On MacOS, you need to open the SchoolofLust.app file of the previous version, by right clicking and selecting "Show Package Contents". Now head over to the following directory: /Contents/Resources/app.nw/save/ and move all the files inside, to the new game app.
Q: I played School of Lust on my browser. How do I transfer my save files from my browser to the Desktop version of the game?
A: You have to find the Local Storage in your browser. In Chrome, you need to press F12, go to the Application tab, then click on Local Storage. There should be a subfolder with the website domain (for Newgrounds it would be "https://uploads.ungrounded.net"), containing all save files. You can just manually copy the contents to the files in the desktop version (edit them with notepad as text files), they are located in www/save.
Q: Is there a walk-through for School of Lust?
A: There is a Wiki page over here, which provides details, but the game is pretty straightforward. If you're stuck, follow the "Objectives" page on the in-game phone menu, which will provide instructions on what to do. Look on the "Memories" map, which can be accessed from the computer in your bedroom, to see if you've unlocked all scenes. Keep in mind that certain scenes and objectives only appear after you advance the days in the game, which you can do by sleeping in your bed. Finally, if you're still stuck, you can always contact us for help.
Q: Why do I get the error message, "The application "SchoolofLust" can't be opened", when I run the game on Mac?
A: This is a permission problem on Mac computers. Please follow the instructions over at https://www.patreon.com/posts/19874796 to resolve it.
Q: Why do I get the error message, "EPERM, operation not permitted, open precachelist.json", when I run the game?
A: This is a permission problem that can occur on both Windows and Mac computer.
On Windows, it usually occurs when you place the folder in "My Documents" or anywhere similar, where permission is limited. This can be resolved by moving the game folder to somewhere else (like your C drive) on your hard drive.
On Mac, after you download the game file, unzip it, and move/copy the "SchoolofLust" app to the "Applications" directory and please make sure to run the "SchoolofLust" application from within the Applications directory.
Q: Why is the screen distorted when I play School of Lust, like this:
A: Please update your video drivers to fix this problem. If it still doesn't resolve your problem, you have to change the shaders, which you can do by replacing the libEGL.dll and libGLESv2.dll files with the libEGL_orig.dll and libGLESv2_orig.dll files that can be found in the /shaders folder. Make sure you remove the "_orig" from the file name, when replacing the files in the root game folder.
Q: Why do I get stuck at a white screen when I run School of Lust?
A: Please update your video drivers to solve this problem. If it does not resolve your problem, it may have to do with the way you unzipped the file. We strongly recommend using a 3rd party tool (like 7-Zip or WinZip), instead of the standard Windows extraction tool, to unzip the downloaded game file.
We're working to solve this in the future, so the file will be compatible with the default Windows extraction tool.
Q: Why do I get stuck on the loading screen when I run or load a save file in School of Lust?
A: If you get stuck on the loading screen while trying to load a save file, please zip your entire save folder and send it over as an attachment to contact@bonergames.com and we'll look into what is causing this issue.
If you get stuck on the loading screen immediately when you run School of Lust, it usually indicates that a file is missing. Please try unzipping the game with a 3rd party tool (like 7-Zip or WinZip) and see if it resolves your problem. If not, please contact us and we'll look into this right away.
Q: Why can't I load my save file? It just plays an error sound when I try to load it.
A: This could either be a backward compatibility issue in the game, or a permission problem on your computer. Please make sure that your save folder and files are not set to read-only. You can check by right clicking the save folder/file and selecting Properties. At the bottom, under Attributes, make sure that the Read-only checkbox has not been selected.
If that doesn't solve your problem, it's most likely a bug in the game. Please zip your entire save folder and send it over as an attachment to contact@bonergames.com and we'll look into what is causing this issue. Please make sure to let us know which save slot is causing the problem (f it is is a specific one).
Q: Why do I keep crashing/freezing while playing School of Lust?
A: School of Lust is still in Alpha, and if you crash at a specific point, it could be a bug. Please report it to us, by contacting us and giving us as much detail as possible (e.g. where did it happen, what were you doing etc.).
If you keep crashing very frequently, it could be that your computer does not meet the minimum requirements to run the game. The minimum requirements to run School of Lust is as following (at the moment):
OS: WindowsR 7 or later / MacOS
Processor: Intel R Core i3-3220 or equivalent
Memory: 2 GB RAM
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GT220 or equivalent
We are working to optimize the game, to make sure it will work on less powerful hardware.

I'm having a problem where the game keeps telling me I have to talk to flora when I try to leave the house, but when I go to talk with her, text pops up saying I don't feel like talking to her right now.

Hello, I'm French and I wanted to know if it's possible to translate the game into French with a patch.
I can't get the 1st manuel of magic

Hi Mystic! Glad you like it =) Make sure to check the garbage containers/trash cans throughout the town and city for some toys you can sell in the shop. The only other "fast" way to make money is from either entering the Hole or doing the Job Agency event in town. We're working on adding more ways to earn money. You can't go outside your room naked at the moment. It will be available at a later point. If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to ask. Cheers =)
how to i move save folders?
hello when i try to play the game School of lust i just have a loading screen for hours and it not start. PS i have already try to reinstall ( download and use a tool to unzip the game)

How do I unlock memory #18 with sofia?
is changing somethings about free and premium version?
is there a faster way to pay back the uncle? also how do you unlock memory 23?
since there hasn't been a clear answer, to get memory 23, it's a random event when you go into the bathroom as your alter ego, it worked for me during night-time, where the first thing i did was change to alter ego, then walk in the bathroom.
How do I go about reporting bugs? I ran into a freeze when looting a girl in The Hole during the floor 7 challenge.
When will I be able to download the game I paid for the 10$ patreon and have waited 3 days.
are you ever going to add a cheat mode or something similar ?
Hi Vashi! There is a cheat mode. All you need to do is walk through the backdoor and head towards the back of the church. You'll find a fortune teller there. Talk to her to cheat. Good luck! =)

How does one go about unlocking memory #18?
My game never seems to save am i must be missing something that i should of done? Cos every time i turn it off and restart i need to make a new game . . .

Hey ive gotten flora as a worker before but now im not quite figureing it out any hints

So is there going to be a way to stop the uncle from cucking you? I mean literally prevent him from even getting the chance to touch them. Otherwise that would be pretty bullshit. Hopefully killing him, or using mind control to making him literally impotent and unable to feel any sexual desire. I don't want to be blackmailed by him, there is no reason for the mc to tolerate him at all frankly. Ntr shouldn't ever be forced on the players. I don't care if it's in the game, but the mc should be able to just stop it and fuck over the scum doing it, by hitting them in the dick with a baseball bat so hard that it never works again.
Hi JS! All hardcore NTR content will be avoidable, as you can experience during the "Flora in Trouble" quest. Your choice changes the way the event goes, and it also has impact on what happens later on. However, touching will not be avoidable. They're antagonists that you're supposed to hate and eventually get your revenge on. Let us know if you have any other questions. Cheers =)
I've notice that the customers in the shop keep mentioning that the toys are dirty, i was just wondering if there is some way to clean the toys

Hey guys, I was able to download. Played one round. Went back to play another round with a different agenda. Second round through, Sunday, October 16, following Evening Activities - doesn't matter if running the shop or shooting hoop with girlfriend, either way, upon completion of that task - it goes into the load for the Illegal Alien - but ...screen goes black except the white arrow. I can right click and get the phone, but nothing else will load. I move the mouse and get indicators for "exit", "upstairs downstairs fridge " etc. I clidk the mouse to go through the exits, but no bueno. Still black screen. Windows 10. FYI. Thanks guys.

Hey Boner, Just wondering The download was helpful but In game it froze and so I closed it and went to bed but now I can't launch it at all! It doesn't have an error message or a white screen it's just not launching at all. Even when I try double clicking or right clickng and then pressing open. I am on Windows 10 so thx. btw I have 0.3.1 alpha.
Hi BW! Did you try turning your computer off and on again (not being sarcastic by the way), and see if it launches then? It sounds like the game process got stuck. You can also try killing the process from your task manager. Let me know if that helps. I look forward to your reply. Cheers =)
Quick question- do you think 0.3.2 will be released in Oct or Nov? I know you guys said monthly updates, but was curious since 0.3.1 was rather large

Seems like the link via e-mail isn’t really coming in as stated. Why not just update the access to the download links on the website so those who are having the issue are able to access the link through the portal??? I’ve been waiting a couple days now and I’m having a hard time understanding why it’s been so slow to resolve

I don't know if this is a known issue, But I just finished the 6th level of the hole and didn't get a single key, I have a bunch of chests and a gate that I can't open because I have no keys. Am I missing something?
Hi G.Knight! The key drops are random, so it's possible. Keep in mind that the keys can drop from both chests and vases. They do not drop from defeated schoolmates. Cheers =)

I moved my save files in place of the downloaded save file. but when I opened up the game and the continue button is grey and can't be clicked on. I'm playing from a Mac.
