"Teaser"/ highlight shorts
How do you (the paying patrons who get early access as a core part of our deal) feel about me publishing short highlights from the early reactions?
I think it won't be a super frequent thing, but when there's a worthwhile fun little section, I feel like it might be great for bringing in new viewers and enticing new patrons to post a little clip of the episode that is currently live on patreon. I dunno. Just throwing the idea out there.
One example would be, say, dropping a snippet of the dancy Kongming OP reaction before the full ep2 reaction goes live.

If the editing doesn't get too annoying or time consuming I'd say go for it, I don't see any downsides!
I've learned to love previews over the years. It won't diminish the value of what we receive on patron, and probably will entice some new people.

I have no interest in it, so feel I can't vote yes or no, but you doing what you can to increase your viewership is fine. I will say that on a couple of occasions, an interesting short that popped up on my youtube feed has convinced me to subscribe to someone's channel, so if doing this does not unduly affect your time, then it may be strategically sensible. I wonder if youtube has analytics that allow you to observe engagement from shorts?
Definitely try it if you think it will help the channel. I just personally would not watch anything like that because I don't like watching a clip of something before I watch the actual thing. Especially something I KNOW I will watch anyways. I would consider the clip "spoiler". This is also why I don't watch trailers to anything that I already know I will watch. I hope I'm in the minority if you do decide to do it though because I would even get annoyed if the clip pops up in my feed. (This doesn't really apply for reaction videos) but I would even prefer if youtube videos did not have titles and thumbnails. I think this developed for me since I've noticed my favorite pieces of media also happen to be the ones I knew ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about before diving in.
Don't like 'em, won't watch 'em. That being said I voted yes because I think they will help your channel grow and have more reach. I think it's a good idea to entice prospective patrons and new viewers alike.
I wouldn't mind it. Hell, it could even entice some to support you on patreon to get the reaction early.
Personally I don't see any downside except the time it would take to make them of course.
My personal choice is always to avoid "shorts" and "teasers" on general principle as I am averse to all things tik-tok-ish and other contributors to the plague of attention-span deficit in general. But I can understand the Advertising aspect of it and won't begrudge you efforts to manipulate The Algorythm to your advantage and profitability..... Long snips like the whole highlight of the Kongming OP are far more crunchy and stand on their own merit.

Absolutely do it. A bit of marketing to help you get more patrons to let you keep doing what you’re doing sounds great!
