MOST ORIGINAL POLL (MOP)
I've really been struggling to decide on a show for fridays. There are a bunch of big things currently airing, somewhat lined up to replace current slots, but friday feels wide open, like a blank page, and I've had a real block to start filling it in.
Looking over some of the suggested shows from the discord, I realized something - we haven't watched an anime original for a while. I believe Edgerunners was the last original we watched, and even that is tied to an existing property. It's been adaptation after adaptation, and while many of them have been spectacular, I can't help but feel like something fundamentally anime is missing from my anime channel. Well, that's a problem that can be solved. Let's watch an anime original.
I've gathered a selection of completely original shows (Sorry Heike) that I've missed since 2020. I want to see some creativity unbound by adaptation. I want to see what the artists are doing with their own blank pages. Hopefully you'll join me and help steer our course by voting for the show(s) you'd most like to see on this poll.
And no, we're not doing the dumb number voting, that experiment failed, the good ole "hell yeah" is back.

So we roll the dice 🎲 for Sonny Boy once more. As many times as it takes…
I really hope we get Apocalypse Hotel reactions soon
edgerunners season 2 with completely new cast will start airing in october. I assume you heard about it, but thought i would mention just in case
this poll is soo... niche
It’s not on here, but I’d love it if Tee watched Cosmic Princess Kaguya! ❤️ It’s an absolute joy!
There is a long list of Movies he need to get on. At least he watched Look Back already, but I have no hopes for another movie for a while.
Just letting you know for whenever you watch Vivy, I highly recommend watching the first 2 eps together, as they released at the same time and were meant to be watched together. Of course it's still up to you to decide, but I just wanted to inform you.
Rooting so hard for Lycoris Recoil. It had a good showing the last time it was on a poll, please!
Sonny Boy would be a perfect fit for you, hope it wins now or in another poll in the future!
eagerly awaiting any donghua reactions :)
Said in the survey but I'll say it here as well: Link Click is a gem, not so hidden anymore thanks to Crunchyroll, the popular EN VAs (like CyYu/Alejandro Saab) & the JP dub. But it's not that popular, so it's easy to miss. You wouldn't regret it and I won't say anything about why haha
Apocalypse hotel is my favorite here by a decent margin but I would also totally take a sonny boy reaction mostly because I think it would be a fun one to watch even as a show I don't love like others do.
Link Click is my favorite anime original show ever in my second favorite show general. I hope the next time we get a anime original pool or just any other poll that Link Click gets nominated.
Speaking of anime originals, Grow Up Show is the one I've been enjoying the most in a while. It's just airing, though, so It'll maybe take some time before it gets put in a poll.
VIVYYY!!
Was or will Oshi no Ko be on a poll? Same question for To be Hero X
OnK is not anime original lol
Hell yeah Vivy gets another chance!
I was like "wait... Didn't he promise to do Heavenly Delusion in the last poll??? When's that coming???" And then remembered it came months ago and I'd watched the whole reaction series. Is this a sign of brain damage?
oh my
Give Apocalypse Hotel a chance, it's worthy
Rooting for Apocalypse Hotel (or GBC but I doubt that it has the popularity needed). Love the idea of an original only poll since it gives some of the weirder / more niche stuff a shot of winning. If you do it again, I want to throw out an early shout for “Sayanara Lara”. I don’t mind it missing from this poll since it’s still airing and anime originals have a tendency of imploding partway through (looking at you WEP), but it’s a strong AotY contender for me.
False Memory!
hoping apocalypse hotel would get a slot. it didn't have much publicity before airing but i was pleasantly surprised. love finding a hidden gem like this when watching anime originals
Do It Yourself!! is a great anime with a really nice ’90s vibe. I think you’ll really like it.
No better time to give LycoReco a watch. Just a word of warning: nothing against Apo Hotel, but if it wins as it is a Cygames Picture property do look out if they decide to get copyright heavy since they have not been kind before e.g Princess Connect: Re:Dive's Treasure Hunt
Really hoping for Sonny Boy to finally get a chance
I never saw the whole show but some time ago I randomly saw one of the last scenes and, ever since, I've been obsessed with the song "Rhapsody" that plays in it. I'd be down to watch it along if Tee did, I've been procrastinating this show for too long! Fingers crossed
I'm just hopping for Tee to start Uma musume sometime this year (year of the horse)
Praying for Sonny Boy cinema
Do you know if you're going to continue to watch mushoku tensei, or did you decide to drop it? Your reactions to the show were some of the best on YouTube next to the sos Bros.
He mentioned in the Discord server that he felt like Mushoku fit Wednesdays and that is currently occupied by Orb so you might have to wait for that to finish and see what's next
It might be neat to see you react to some Chinese anime originals, such as To Be Hero X or Link Click. Not really something I watch too often, but I was pleasantly surprised by the narrative concepts and art/animation direction for these two shows in particular! I think you would really appreciate it.
I would love to see Teeaboo’s reaction to Link Click! It’s such a great show! Especially for reactions.
No To Be Hero X 😔 I’m hoping Vivy wins!
Vivy my beloved. It’s really an underrated gem I hope it can finally make it on the channel
Is it possible to edit our response? I submitted before realizing the "hell yeah" option was available (wasn't visible without scrolling on my phone).
Unfortunately no, but if you mention what you would have switched I'll try to remember to factor it in.
Is a shame that Do It Yourself is my favorite from this line up but sadly not the best for a reaction Hoping for either Appocalypse Hotel or Lycoris Recoill for the win
I know it’s an adaptation but it would be great if you could watch the final season of the Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation. It hadn’t released when you finished season 2 and iirc you were enjoying it.
