Sadly, I have a strong aversion to big robots. It's not even a logical thing, I just really don't like and end up scoffing and rolling my eyes whenever they pop up on screen. Maybe as a child I was bullied by a Gundam fan and I removed it from my memories, idk... Anyway, because of that, since last episode, they kinda lost me a little bit. I think season 1 was overall stronger, but this really made me struggle.

You mentioned in the intro that you haven't watched a crazy super robot show in a long time. Well, if you'd ever want to, I strongly recommend Brave Bang Bravern! It's a modern show, a comedy spoof on super robot anime AND TOP GUN. A self contained story, 12 episodes of constant laughter.
That, or SSSS Dynazenon would be amazing!
Yes, season 3 is coming in 2027! I'm super excited for it!
