I don't know what the situation is with the younger person you mention later in the discussion, but it reminds me of this. I have younger family members and people I work with, and the way I'm able to *really listen* to their perspectives and struggles (and how I enjoy doing so) can seem to break the ice on them interacting more wholeheartedly with people older than them. Every adult can seem a disciplinarian or scold at a certain age, and so older teens kinda clam up as a result, become sullen and uncommunicative. It can take a bit to get them to realize you're actually listening to them and aren't gonna get on their case about anything, but once you do I think they can start to really open up more with lots of older people in their lives that can teach them a ton, way more than you individually can. It's really fun seeing how they can take off as a result.

No Vinland?

The kiss-gasm portion of the episode did kind of drag, and I don’t really feel that way often. Probably because it felt very samey whereas usually their own personal gags would shine more in these kinds of segments.

The episode is very quiet btw, don't know if that's fixable or not
