Oh and if you can get a person out of the deadlights soon enough they can be saved. But it has to be done quickly.

Hey guys..new patron here. Just thought I would tell yall what pennywise did to the daughter is called 'deadlights'. Basically the deadlights make you lose your mind and 'preserve' you to kill later or pennywise does it if he doesn't want to eat you to just get you out of his way. I read the book IT in October on a book challenge so I learned a lot about the lore of IT. I've read so many Stephen King books. Love yalls reactions. But losing Richie destroyed me too.

R.I.P Rich. To answer your question about those orbs; they're called the Deadlights. Essentially, it's Pennywises' true form, the ultimate embodiment of evil. But because the human mind can't comprehend what it is seeing they go into a catatonic state & 'float'. Sorta how in the Bible, we can't comprehend the concept of angels, just on the opposite spectrum. Pennywise usually does this when his victims have no fear of him (Bev in IT Chap. 1) or he is getting ready to hibernate and doesn't want to work for the effort....or you just pissed him off too much. Most of the time, people who see it end up dead or insane. I feel like kids have a better chance of recover because of their innocence not being completely corrupted (but that's just a theory)
