Joe Biden Doesn’t Know Where He Is Right Now

Riley is away, so Alice, Milo, and Hussein run the asylum by themselves. They gave themselves all depression, found out why we’re all going to get turned into paper clips, and explored the mind palace of one Joseph R Biden in a special American reading.

It’s crushing listening to this in October 2024 knowing that the same folks are now just turning a blind eye to IOF and its supporters violently demonstrating for their right to r4pe Palestinian prisoners. And now razing all of Lebanon in another ultra-precise strike on the hidden enemy. And now the Tennessee National Guard was just deployed to serve Israel while entire towns in the southeastern US are underwater after a catastrophic hurricane. … also Im pretty sure that AI is already being used in the medical insurance claim rejection (review) process in the US

Are we forgetting that this entire thing is the result of Netanyahu's attempt to preserve optics during his corruption trial? The ummah are not only entitled to revenge by Allah, they are obliged to it.

J
John Smith · December 25, 2023

Why are Alice and Milo both-sidesing Hamas? The Israelis are entitled to exact vengeance on Hamas? Did we forget that Netanyahu orchestrated the raid on Al-Aqsa mosque, which Hamas specifically warned against?

What does 'Listen to it early' mean? I should play it in the morning? How early are we talking 1amish or like 8am

the thing driving me the most insane is people who act like a ceasefire involves Israel just dropping their guns and letting Hamas kill everyone, no understanding that maybe stopping carpet bombing civilians doesn't necessarily involve disbanding your entire military.

Wait the British Ai system is just Australia's Robodebt scheme just with an extra marriage fraud element. Only the British could adopt a failed Australian program and make it extra racist.

I propose we change the approach towards the red faced Israel supporters. see, Gaza is a small urban area, which you are not allowed to leave without a permit... Sound familiar? So I suggest we portray Israel to them as 'the council' and Gaza as a '15 minute city'.

"We laugh, but the actual consequences of this are fucking grim" is a throughline of pretty much every TF episode. It might as well be the show's motto.

Towards the end, Alice quotes the stupid article, "Israel by contrast has every right to destroy Hamas in a manner consistent with the laws of war." Hussein asked about international law in response. Check out this interview on American Prestige pod: Derek speaks with Maryam Jamshidi, associate professor of law at the University of Colorado, about the legal ramifications of what’s happening in Gaza under international law. https://www.americanprestigepod.com/p/special-the-2023-gaza-war-ep-13-w#details Israel is considered an occupying power in Gaza (since 1967, until today, which Israel disputes since 2005). "Israel has a police power, and that police power allows the Israeli armed forces to engage in limited violent activity, taking into consideration preservation of civilian life and safety."

If you wanna listen to some history (and news) on Palestine/Gaza-Israel, - American Prestige pod (Daniel Bessner, Derek Davison) doing almost daily updates/interviews and has a series on Palestine w/ Rashid Khalidi; Derek Davison also does the almost daily world events newsletter/pod Foreign Exchanges. - Jacobin Radio, eg: Long Reads: Palestine and the New McCarthyism w/ Rashid Khalidi; Dig: Hamas w/ Tareq Baconi. - Radio War Nerd, eg on Hamas history. If you wanna read these authors: - Rashid Khalidi, The Hundred Years War on Palestine: A History of Settler Colonialism and Resistance, 1917–2017; - Tareq Baconi, Hamas Contained - The Rise and Pacification of Palestinian Resistance. - "New Historians" from Israel: Benny Morris, Ilan Pappé, Avi Shlaim and Simha Flapan. Just heard them mentioned on American Prestige, Special - The 2023 Gaza War, Ep. 14 w/ Zachary Foster: He and Danny compare their respective backgrounds as American Jews grappling with narratives of Israel and Palestine fed to them by Jewish day school, “Birthright Israel” trips, and related programs. The group then discusses the history and current state of scholarship on Palestine before re-examining the Oslo Accords and the two-state solution for subscribers (more than half the episode is free).

It's nice that there are people who have correct takes on ukraine and Israel that I can listen to. I can't believe how much of a minority position it is to think people should be free and have the right to self determination.

When do we stop putting septaugenarians with deep grudges in office. They know it's their last chance but what do they have to lose, realistically. I'm sick of hearing young people are so entitled. Boomers are the most entitled generation and they are very willing to take all of us out with them.

"none of us has been turned into paperclips yet". It was tragic that Milo and the others didn't hear the tiniest scream, coming from the stationary in the studio. Days before, that small, insignificant paperclip had been known to them as Riley. But he now had no mouth to scream.

I'm at minute 50, but just for background - GM went bankrupt & the obama administration got them a shit ton of money to keep them from... don't know what. Selling off the office furniture? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/General_Motors_Chapter_11_reorganization. Anyways, republicans hated it, and it seemed to work out well, so it's a good "fuck you" to the republicans. Also, Romney wrote an op-ed about it, which was titled "let Detroit go bankrupt" (which is hilarious because he almost certainly didn't write the title & it was all anyone knew about the article). So that's why GM was on the level of bin Laden, news-wise, in 2012.

Weren’t the last elections in 2006? How long since elections does a ruling party stop being legitimate?

R
Ric · November 3, 2023

I would say the democratic legitimacy of our representative governments in UK, US, Germany, France etc is very shaky. In Gaza, no conditions for fair elections, even simply because it's Gaza, no sovereignty, conflict with PLO/Fatah strategically promoted by Israel. Also, Hamas earned social legitimacy long before it was elected. If you wanna listen to some history on this, American Prestige pod doing almost daily updates/interviews and has a series on Palestine w/ Rashid Khalidi. So does Jacobin Radio, eg: Long Reads: Palestine and the New McCarthyism w/ Rashid Khalidi; Dig: Hamas w/ Tareq Baconi. So does Radio War Nerd, eg on Hamas history. That's just 2, but i'm sure there's many good ones from a "more israeli view" too.
