Marc Andreesen's Meaning of Life
Dr. Robotnik has written a manifesto, and before you ask, yes - it cites Marinetti. We also look into the ongoing mass Labour Party revolt against Starmer and the front bench's support for Israel's attack on Gaza, which if you recall, Starmer backed full-throatedly to impress Nick Ferrari for two minutes.

the thing about the shark moving forward is from ‘Annie Hall’. and what we’ve got on our hands is a dead shark.

A massive Dave Courtney fireworks display, but shoved through the mail slot of someone who needs a clump.
Plugging the patreon on a patreon exclusive episode. Bold marketing strategy
Andreesen should fuck a SpaceX dragon rocket at the next test launch. | Mr Andreesen, why do you keep staring at product without saying anything? "I love product." New product, get your WMD, WMD right here, only in Hamsterdam!
I like that Andreesen's manifesto is only concerned with AI applications to FRIENDLY FIRE in war, not the UNFRIENDLY kind. "there are scores of common causes of death that can be fixed with AI, from car crashes to pandemics to wartime friendly fire."
Trashfuture al-Courtney brigade leaders, any near-future touring in Germany or continental Europe? I need to apply all my gained insight Treppenwitze (afterwit / staircase wit) of heckles and comments I failed to make at Milo's Hamburg show.
Alice's 10-word summary of Oppenheimer movie is about right re the liberal core of "do bad but necessary thing and take credit, then take credit for feeling bad about it". Movie still worth watching, especially in cinema, for the audio-visual exp (and some of the narrative). Even if you don't watch it, listen to an interview with historian about it on American Prestige pod (Daniel Bessner and Derek Davison, this ep paywalled, only free teaser, full interview linked at bottom). below excerpt of the interview on the film's place in the media portrayal of oppenheimer, the pantheonic figure, and the (american) liberalism point. q: could we talk about how oppenheimer has been portrayed in popular media, and where nolan's telling fits into this capital-C character in the american pantheon? a: short answer is something you said earlier: american liberalism. he is the exemplar of that. he wants to do the bad thing -- or not everyone thinks it's bad -- but then feel bad about it and that's it. he garners a lot of sympathy for his treatment in 1954, in the McCarthy era, but he's actually a really easy person to make into a martyr. because he's never accused of disloyalty. there's really very little tangible effect on his life. ... but i think because he's connected to so many different parts of the nuclear story, the creation of it, early attempts to manage it, the security debates that go right to the heart of cold war politics. you can use him to seemingly tell the whole story, and because he's so ambiguous, always trying to everything to everyone, you can almost tell any kind of story you want thru him. so i think, you can make a biopic of general leslie groves that has a certain drama to it, but groves is certain of himself, single-minded, gets the job done, and far as we know there are no public performances of ethical debates. so oppenheimer trying to do all that makes him a really interesting subject. q: and how does nolan play into this? i would say nolan fits in very well with that portrayal, he doesn't depart from it. it's this modern version of liberalism. there's moments of critique, particularly the scene where he announces the bombings at the gym[?], really portraying americans as war hungry pigs. to me that was, 'this is a british guy looking at the americans and commenting'. but beyond that? any thoughts on that scene or where nolan's film fits into the larger pantheon? a: ... there's a few moments. kittie oppenheimer's admonition of him, the one you mentioned, and the third one is where lewis strauss realizes that his [cabinet] hearing is about to be derailed and he becomes a bit unhinged and starts saying, 'oppenheimer wanted to be a martyr and owes me. he wants credit for trinity but not hiroshima and nagasaki.' so the credit but not the blame. that's another moment where we get a peak behind the curtain at what's actually going on here. but overall, it's almost like those three moments do for nolan what oppenheimer's expressions of moral -- regret -- not even regret, expressions of concern do for him. those signal to the audience that nolan is not unaware of the other issues, but ultimately he's made a movie that doesn't interrogate the standard story in any way. https://www.americanprestigepod.com/p/bonus-the-real-oppenheimer-w-david#details file with interview here https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Yp42BvOC_BKHHc2pEEijIUbin5je7rC0/view?usp=share_link
Israel and Palestine finding peace because of a shared hatred of the kier starmer meal deal is basically the plot of watchmen
Marc Andreesen sounds like the kind of guy who'd welcome the Paperclip Maximizer.
The UK 9/11
my nose is flat and my heart heavy 🫡 RIP
(minutes into the ham baguettes riff, americanly) OHHHHH they’re not saying “hamburgettes”
I thought "hamburguettes" was some Brit thing.
Ok as a full time brit, who the fuck is nick ferrari? another asshole with too much influence to make mental space for? (am late learner with a lot of politics, from a specific apathetic hue of working class upbringing plus other issues) My default recommend news feed of right-wing UK rag headlines failed to inform of this potential transformer decepticon, n thoughts of web searching another kunt right now is something I'd rather outsource to future self, lol.

It’s time to build Nutscrape
Only just heard the news about our beautiful flat-nosed boy yesterday. Suffice to say Britain has lost one of it's broadest geezers. Pouring out a pint of stella for us all RIP. Shout-out to his family. [*eurobass*]
We have built a tower and a long clear strip of land, but I call on the Labour Party to go further and put on vests and waive sticks around in the air.
And one day our cargo cult prophecies will come true, and cargo gods will gift drop a planet killer on us. In Stratotanker we trust. Amen
Andreesen aspires for the purity of the blessed machine
andreesen seems to correctly understand that capitalism will collapse without perpetual economic growth, but his conclusion is "its a good thing we can do perpetual economic growth on the computer"
The dragon metaphor in the manifesto has been plagiarized from Dr. Jordan B Peterson's terrible book of Jungian Theosophy
Dave Courtney flat nosed martyrs brigade
can’t believe milo made a joke about starmer forming a “one-man cordon” by wrapping himself in ham, and NO ONE went for the cordon bleu pun
Starmer would be a cordon red mostly, a cordon that goes further, sensibly
still can't get over one of your radio personalities being called Nick Ferrari. sounds like a mob nickname, like Johnny Dice or Tony Numbers
My number one rage-seizure trigger is people claiming that markets are not coercive or violent systems. It's just... So... STUPID!!!
