Only Britain Fails to Soldier On

There's a rumor circulating that Liz Truss may be making a comeback. Well, she might think so--and she's written an article about it. We review this excellent piece of writing line-by-line, as well as addressing some coin-minting antipathy from a weird Canadian columnist that Riley found. We very much hope you enjoy.

Being part of the the team of posting warriors who bullied Goodwin into eating his book is my fondest twitter memory. Never believe that posts can't change the world

Yes, everyone else saw something stupid was happening here and immediately closed the border- and it seems even more realistic now. In fact why wait for the deadly rage virus epidemic to do it?

So, according to columnists Disrupting things a bit to bring to light shit isn't working and to bargain better conditions for a lot of people : I sleep Facilitating and evangelizing the exploitation, decimation, and over all plundering of shared services to enrich your masters : The spirit of this country. Just make the economy more rigid, duh. If the economic table is uneven, just put a trillion pound coin to level it

Milo's Liz Truss got a bit Acaster there, which means there's only one thing to be done: torture Riley with a new bit.

Yeah. Truss. The problem with the pensions thing is that her decisions actually had no effect on the crisis: it was *Andrew Bailey* at the BoE who deserves the stick first for being desperate to raise rates to "tackle inflation" and then for threatening to not do his job when it became clear he needed to provide liquidity for pensions to fix the mess. The whole thing ultimately got saved not even by him giving the funds money but just saying he'd give them money to fix it if they needed it hence them not even needing the whole facility that he'd set up. The worst that can be said of Truss is she *may* have triggered it early, though that's debateable, And yeah, fuck the Tories, just there's plenty enough blame to hurl at them for everything else as well as forcing the pensions to be in this stupid position in the first place.

"The worst that can be said of Truss is she *may* have triggered it early, though that's debateable," That's true if you ignore the lazy enunciation, glass eyed stare and dopey hanging lower jaw. Even if she's just a regular tory idiot watching any of her speeches or interviews is probably the closest science has ever gotten to translating the thoughts of a dog.
