This week, Riley, Milo, and Alice speak with Mathew Lawrence (@dantonshead) of Common Wealth about the state of...things in Britain, the momentum outside of party politics, the opportunities of the situation, and the prospect of even more stupid austerity. Hope you enjoy!

Energy CEOs working so hard, one of them got up to waddle over to the beer fridge that one time, and even managed to waddle back. It's tough out there for them.
I love how 9 mins in Lawrence summarises the last 12 years.
Being happy that a Tory is being non-democratically elected as a PM is quite depressing as well. We humans try to rationalize everything, uh? A meteor comes, it might be good for the mammals. A plague comes, it will unite us. A new Tory is elected, Yay? I can't fault you brits though. Here in the southern European states it's exactly the same, although the weather is quite hotter and our food doesn't suck.
whole ep like "electorally it pays to give people stuff but unfortunately no party is willing to go there just yet"
Khawarij Keith Starmer be like, "I agree with the Ummah, but I would ask them to go further."
It's the depressing one!
Jokes on you. It's always depressing :(
Thank you for the correction regarding meta. They don't have legs and thus wouldn't have the foggiest idea of how to use them.
