In mediterranian countries we don't bribe officials so much as the popular culture may seem. But there are businesses right next to most (passport, driving licences) offices that can do the medical checks or take photos or the burocracy... For a fee. And it's usually someone in the gov agency friend gig. Yep.
nate has gone thru some sort of larynx evolution. his voice sounds completely different.
different microphone and I probably have pneumonia lmao
I'm skeptical on the housing market being the worst of Europe. I'll give you the bad insulation and old stock, alright, but in terms of pricing and fucking up society and economy... Bring it on. Spain is screwed too. Let's compare and cry together.
What does one have to do to get a drop of Alice saying "genuinely, catastrophically, irresponisbly thicc" at 1:07:45?
I think people tend to underestimate how powerfully motivating is the incoherent contrarian id of "owning the libs". They don't want the possibility of anyone doing something productive proving it's possible and therefore they've been owned, so they'll pull any crab who might even marginally succeed back into the bucket
The good news is that if the Tories pick Liz Truss, we can all be ashes together! Can't have separation of peoples if there are no people left!
♫ We will all go together when we go ♫ ♫ What a comforting fact that is to know ♫ Gotta love how Tom Lehrer never really became outdated...
I returned to Albion this month and promptly got 'rona after dodging it for years and years in benighted Columbia. I was in Wiltshire and the response there was something along the lines of, "We're living with COVID-19 now per government orders." God Save the Barons Strange. Also, Milo, when I took in some county cricket at the Oval I noticed that you could buy bottles of red wine at concessions. (You remarked that drinking red wine at the sports match was a powerful energy in the Britainology on cricket.)
The best part about drinking red wine at the cricket is that you can spill it on your trousers and it won’t show up.

Regional inequality in Romania is not that bad because with the exception of Bucharest and some 7-8 other cities, everywhere else is just poverty. However, only 4-5% of the population lives in rented homes, because 1) we built a shitload of commieblocks and 2) we keep building houses like crazy and credits are relatively accessible. Relatively.
I'm going to need you to step closer to the lathe on the Matt Hancock thing
