A Series of Tubes ft. Ben Tarnoff
The gang talks to Ben Tarnoff about his book “Internet for the People,” which looks at the present miserable state of the internet “as public utility,” and how it can be made better. But first, we look at a startup back from the dead, think about the on-purpose recession that the global north is about to tip into and (thinking about other recessions), what we can expect, and how the IMF created political monsters it can no longer control.

Alice getting the democracy sausage and the Bunnings snag confused, SMDH
For every tech startup the first question should be, "What finance regulation is this trying to circumvent?"
The second question should be "what labour regulation is this trying to circumvent?"
Alice's Carry On Bane though lmao
I grew up about 15 minutes from westfield, NJ and there are speed bumps on almost every street. Also, they have a coffee shop, a theater that isn’t open anymore, a chipotle, and like 15 italian restaurants - pretty sure it’s also one of the richest zip codes in the country.
