Refuse of the Future: Challenges in Geopolitics from Metternich to the 22nd Century
Dr. Riley Quinn (DPhil International Relations), Dr. Milo Edwards (PhD Russian Language), and Maj. Alice Caldwell-Kelly (OSINT specialist) introduce another “garden of forking paths” version of ourselves. We also discuss the bipartisan consensus that spiking energy prices (which have been spiking long before the war) are good and worth the Blitz spirit. Also, another article and Lebedev/Johnson hanging out pretending to be homeless to raise awareness.

Idk if any of y'all have watched Clarkson's Farm but it would be fucking perfect for a Britainology episode. Jeremy Clarkson bought a farm and the show is just him cosplaying as a peasant, pure psychic damage material.
i hate him so much
Wait. Next time you Have Riley on for a Britainology, don't forget to mention, directly or indirectly, that IT'S THE BONUS.
Sorry Milo- at 13.30 are you suggesting that while we’re waiting 2 years for the windfarms to be built the UK just knocks up a quick nuclear power plant as a ‘medium term compromise’?
he probably meant having the gov subsidize gas or something?
The main difference between podcasts and opinion columns is that opinion columns need something to be mad at every week but podcasts get to occasionally just watch a movie.
Thank you, I needed that hour-long chuckle today.
Was it bread and pronouns or pronouns and circuses though?
Why did Alice not use a DUMP drop from kjb when they were taking abt the externalities?
Jesus I have a phd in IR and this insanely accurate My favourite IR Moment was the conference on nuclear weapons where some guys from AWE Aldermaston were given their own spot on the programme as ''''practitioners'''' and proceeded to talk, predictably, complete shit for 45 minutes
alright but what's OSINT Alice's fursona species
Big F for Hussein. Havana Syndrome claims yet another victim. When will it end?
banger episode
As you listen to this show you accrue knowledge of its hosts and their backgrounds that make you start to wonder why they're hosting the kind of show that they host. (The soundboard plays a sound collage of Riley asking Milo where he went to school and what kind of car he drives now.) When I read the synopsis of this episode I was genuinely concerned everyone was going to stop pretending the metaphorical body in the room wasn't slowing emerging from occlusion and just lean in to being the kind of unbearable people they could be if they was 'ard. Thankfully there was a Lukashenko impression instead.
>As you listen to this show you accrue knowledge of its hosts and their backgrounds that make you start to wonder why they're hosting the kind of show that they host There's no one more aware of how utterly stupid liberal hegemony is than the people who had to actively escape the institutions charged with maintaining it and enforcing ideological norms. It's the whole "If you want to find the people most disdainful of a religion, look among the people who were raised in it and left of their own volition" effect, but with a civic religion.
Say what you will about IR, at least it has people who oppose liberals (by being sociopaths... Well, you can't win 'em all). The true liberal ideological manufacturing field is Comparative.
Another great episode of OSINT Future.
Isn't "Climbing Mount Narodnaya" from like Wargame: Red Dragon or something?
Took me too long to realize by "ir" riley meant international relations and not infrared, I genuinely thought riley specifically studied infrared like in remote controls foe some reason
Did this alternative version cast also used to start the show with the 'fully automated luxury space communism' thing?
Milo also went to school with Generous Party-Donors
