Britainology 32: Road Wars / British Cop TV
Now unlocked to the $5 tier!
Nate and Milo watched the early-2000s UK TV show 'Road Wars' and talked about British cops, but the episode got derailed with various tales of personal experiences with cops, and how little you can get away with in the US without getting arrested and charged. Hope you enjoy!

american cops are not only recruited for racist and sociopathic characteristics but they are definitely given quotas to meet to keep justifying larger budgets also I think the show Cops was just replaced in the US by poverty and addiction p0rn accounts on social media, like the bootlicker who runs the ig Kensington Beach account and spoke at the 2024 republican natl convention
This just cements in my mind that we need a Hot Fuzz britainology episode
Was hoping for more Slough content in this episode lmao

What?! The 10 Dollar hogs get moan.wav from Nate? Screw capitalism!
You have curfews in the US? The States really confuses me sometimes and I don't understand the mixture of authoritarianism and libertarianism. Do you just do it for the conflict?
This tiktok is the exact British police energy you guys are talking about https://vm.tiktok.com/ZMLr6yFUT
The US as described by Nate always sounds insanely authoritarian.
Police in Edinburgh wanted to arrest me because I had a "smirk" on my face. I don't know if I did, but after I heard that it was VERY hard to hold back from laughing and infuriating them further
Remember when the guy got arrested for saying a police horse was gay?
Oh boy, I lived in East London for 21 years, then moved out to Colchester in Essex. I dread meeting someone from my old place out here especially when I'm near the Racist Riviera of Clacton. The White Flighters can't wait to drop a racism into the conversation by asking whether I've been back to Barking recently. I now counter it with "Yes, I can't believe how interesting and multicultural it is now, it was as dull as dogshit back when I lived there, surrounded by boring, narrow-minded suburbanites.". A speech that guarantees a lovely silent cab ride in Essex.
Isn't Tim Horton's a genuinely horrible exploitative company anyway? I'm mainly drawing on Mildred from Thought Slime's personal experience when they did a YT vid on it.
Tim Hortons is just McDonald's that sells doughnuts
To answer Nate's query about being pulled over without insurance in the US. I was pulled over in Wyoming for doing 65 in a 50 zone because it was a road where the speed limit changed at dusk and dawn. I was breathalysed, and I said I didn't have proof of insurance on me, so he gave me a piece of paper which I was meant to take to the local Courthouse with either proof that I had insurance at the time I was pulled over, or I'd have to pay a fine. I'm pretty sure the fine was pretty big too, like $300 or something.
To be fair, I told the guy that I had insurance, but I just didn't have any proof of it on me. As it turned out I actually didn't have it at the time because I didn't have enough money in my bank account when the last payment was charged to me, so I just photoshopped some documents to get out of the fine.
I'm deeply upset with Nate falling off his bike and getting brain damage. Just, you know, not because I missed my slop. You doing okay? Do you need the premium hogs to send someone to have a word with the ground to make sure it understands attacking our parasocial relations has consequences? I've never fought with a police dog before, but I have fought with walls. Admittedly, the walls all won, but they didn't always come out of it unscathed!
This episode makes miss my 4’11 great grandmother who got robbed by a dude, found out where he lived, and showed up at his door with a butcher’s knife to demand her purse back. She got it back and then told the guy’s mom what he’d done.
Nate's posting career got off to strong start.
