A Hard Dog Is Gonna Fall feat. Podcasting is Praxis

Rob and Dave of the Praxiscast join the gang to discuss a U.K. success story in making beer, but more importantly, in making extremely annoying publicity stunts. Also, we return to the New York Times which appears to be doing Client Journalism for the Bored Ape NFT people.

This whole Brewdog grift is just that episode of Corporate where Lance Reddick hires Banksy to market anti-corporate beer

My uni course used BrewDog as a case study for marketing and to this day I’m still not sure if the lecturer thought of them as a role model or a warning…

Pittsburgh, PA is home to a Brewdog on the first floor of a 5-over-1 gentrification condo building that is on the site of what used to be a public/social housing tower.

Someone is going to make a BoredTulip NFT as ironic commentary and it will monkeys paw into a wildly successful thing

I swear when they first brewed Nanny State it was deliberately almost awful tasting but it sold well because the market for non-alcoholic small ale was that barren at the time.

My favourite thing about Brew Dog is that Aldi copied the exact recipe for Punk IPA and you can buy it for £1 a can

I can buy an over hopped beer that makes my tastebuds want to die for just £1? What a time to be alive.

I love it when Milo starts screaming at stupidity

The last time I went to a Brewdog bar (under duress) I managed to get a load of free beer so I feel like I’ve come out slightly ahead with them. That’s the only positive interaction I’ve ever had with them

I'm not going to buy an Oxo cube just for some other guy to buy a BIGGER oxo cube

I could be on an adult slide in Stuttgart and it would have the same effect.

Nothing like a neon lit Gil-Scott Heron line on the wall in a bar filled with the whitest people you've ever met

Of course you're also a TF listener. Do let me know if you're ever going to any of the live shows - hope you're well!

Spending all day at a pub used to be a cry for help, now its an emerging market

On top of being a horrible company, they also specialise in the most boring & tasteless of beers, that being IPAs. Not a single dark beer in sight. Or if there is, their dogshit IPA has put me off enough to not wanna try anything else. That's all the motivation I need to say fuck em. Gimme a milk stout before you give me that dish water. Brewdog really do come across to me as the irritating cunts who hold up the libertarian piss colour flag and unironically say, "this is Anarchism, actually". There is not a club heavy or spiky enough to do the severe blunt trauma that I want to do to cringey shitlords that are Like That.

To be fair, you wouldn't need to source *really* fat cats; any cat will do, you just slip the taxidermist an extra fiver to overstuff them with newspaper. Simple as.

Punk's not dead, but Brewdog appear to be doing their best to make us wish it were...

Offline fun? I wish that was a euphemism for a public dungeon opening.

Also, grats on 5 years of WAHOAWTD Nate and Francis. Clearly the most relevant place to write it.
