Grief 2.0

This week Riley, Milo, and Alice address a new startup that will--and we are not joking--allow your boss to hire call centre workers to ping you with smartphone notifications when you suffer a personal tragedy. And, of course, a lot more. We also revisit some old friends (Bill Gross, Softbank) and a plan for the Tories to send in old army men to "de-woke" the NHS.

you missed a pretty important point wrt/ Empathy which is that this used to be the job of religion, which no one has anymore. Not saying that religion in the agregate is good but as it's been replaced by the civil government in your like socialist down to soft-demsoc countries, some parts are still missing. Should the gov be responsible for setting up some kind of, shall we say, Death Panel, that would have a branch of bureaucrats helping you tie up their loose ends and another branch that does kinda sorta psych counceling?

The bereavement to-do list app reminded me of the transition to-do list app from a while back that Chelsea Clinton was involved in

I (RIley) deleted a comment challenging the content of what was said ("The UK and US are more evil than any asian nation") which I personally agree with the substance of, but which included something unacceptable about one of the hosts. I am reposting the substance of the comment here so you know I am not censoring your disagreement with what's in the show, and will only delete it if absolutely necessary (as was the case here).
