can anyone find a link to a website or an article about the Alice / Surprise AI? it's one of the most terrifying developments in tech i've ever heard of but i can't find anything online to show people, the search terms "surprise," "alice," "AI," etc are too generic.
There was a line somewhere in "Late Victorian Holocausts" (l think), where he describes how the Victorians reveled in their mediocrity. "Poetry is for the French" or somesuch. That's definitely in line with the Billionaires and their bootlickers these days.

Brilliant episode, the fucking tone deafness of this Billionaire fuckwittery is so fucking appalling. Do one about China and what they are doing with their stock market next. Its an interesting example of how a country can take-on big technology firms and corporates generally and is part of the reason US corporates are bricking it about China's rise.
