Consider This Transaction Fung'd feat. Dan Boeckner and Matt Lubchansky
We've finally taken the time to discuss NFTs, and in so doing we brought on two working artists -- musician Dan Boeckner and cartoonist Matt Lubchansky -- to discuss the new liberation that comes from putting your art on the blockchain. Zero negative side effects here! Nothing to worry about.

hey btw do you know why the artworks on the NFT tokens aren't cryptographically signed by the author? Sounds like a very easy way to at least establish original authorship

Gr8 ep! Shit in Can artwork was by Piero Manzoni like a generation after Duchamp (unless u believe the story about the urinal being a kind of revisionist fabrication actually produced and documented in the 60s)
Really fascinating episode. Id been struggling to understand NFTs because every time its explained it sounds entirely too stupid to be real. It always just came across to me as another absurd speculation bubble like the whole 90s comics industry except back then you at least had a copy of spiderman and some pogs when the industry collapsed.
Tbf, Milo saying he never learned anything because he'd reflexively think "nerd shit, fuck this" is understandable and absolutely the right response
Disappointed that you didn鈥檛 do any Killer Michael joke in the Michael Kill bit
Okay I take it back thanks Alice
Ceci n'est pas un jeton fongible. Ok, how many Magritte flavored NFTs are out there? Or is he not one of the like 3 artists that STEMlords can name check?
Alice just selling NFTs to fund her sword collection habit.
How much would she get for an NFT of the ISS tweet?
off topic question for Riley: is Human Traffic any good? Is it worth watching in full or are the youtube clips good enough?
God, I'm disturbed the idea of Elon Musk trying desperately to sing. And I know that Grimes won't have the heart to give him lessons.
It can hash a lot of things but it can't hashbrowns. Am hungry now.
NFT stands for Not Fran莽ois Truffaut. Telling people if something is directed by Fran莽ois Truffaut or not.
Proof of work reminds me of a theoretical, apocalyptic game I used to discuss with friends whilst stoned. It was called 'the fire game' and the winner was the person with the biggest fire.
Riley, stop derailing this Types of Guy podcast.
If the KLF did an NFT I guarantee they'd get all the money they'd need to build the People's Pyramid, bring back Ford Galaxie, and still have enough for a giant hard drive bonfire to eliminate the last of their etherium. I kinda want to see that now
Nearing the end of the episode and NFTs really do sound like a KLF prank that got out of hand.
Micky Kill gonna be wondering why his LinkedIn profile is so hot right now.
