Getting Dilb-pilled (feat. Aisling McCrea)
This week, we're talking Dilbert and Scott Adams. Why? Well, for some reason all five of us liked Dilbert as a kid. Also, it just so happens that friend of the show Aisling McCrea (@ambientGillian) just published an article in Current Affairs about Dilbert's strange appeal. So, let's talk about it. Let's talk about Scott Adams' promise that he can make you no-touch cum. Let's dilb out.

The Joe Rogan show is a hotbed of right wing propaganda.
I remember enjoying dilbert books as a kid, assuming the posturing grandeur and theorising was the joke, not that it was close to his actual views on the world.
I loved Dilbert as a kid which is super bizarre because like, neither of my parents had a typical office job at all. Honestly the explanation in the episode made sense because I loved Calvin and Hobbes and that had stopped, and I loved the Far Side and that had stopped, and that was the next semi-closest thing I could get on that level since Garfield sure as shit wasn't rising to the challenge (not that I still didn't have a massive collection of Garfield books but still).
The best about the Lawrence Fox situation is he's being sued by crystal from UK drag race season one. 2020 what a wild ride
Another Dilbert kid here. According to the intro, his book GOD'S DEBRIS was too controversial to publish so it is available as a free ebook. Actually it was just bad. Read WAY OF THE WEASEL multiple times as a teen. I'd donate to a fund to get the TF crew to read either one.
Time for the TF/CA crossover only I've wanted
I will also say though that just when you think the world can't sink any lower into madness and hate, you turn around & see pricks like Laurence Fox have brought a shovel along & started digging 馃檮 I also like how Opendoor has basically taken Chapo's idea of Neoliberal daycare and made it more on the nose. Apparently we're just gagging to be at university forever, but in a way that's best suited for toddlers. Like, I enjoyed my uni time, but I'm not looking to stay that way unless you can make me an immortal 21 year old. They just want to do everything to deny you a decent home with any sense of dignity 馃槖 It's like whenever I see an article being like, "But young people LOVE tiny homes!". No we fucking don't. We want YOUR homes, but you decided to play Monopoly IRL with housing, and now nobody can afford anything! We're just stuck in bloody serfdom for good, while some modern landed gentry, says "you know what, you love shoeboxes, right? How about you live in one, with all of your ex mates from uni, especially the ones you never talked to". Like, fuck off 馃槕
One correction. Scott Adams was never actually an engineer. Interestingly he was a "budget analyst and consultant." He was The PHB and he's vicariously living through Dilbert and Dogbert in his work. It's really mind-blowing.
Too late Riley, I'm already edging 馃槢馃槅
So opendoor is just reintroducing worker's barracks to the USA
Wow, other Dilbert kids existed?
we all listen to or are on the podcast apparently
