Pret Police On My Back
The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland is a country run by and for landlords. However, the coronavirus crisis has created a problem: if people congregate en masse in offices and places of business, the disease spreads and people die! However, mitigating this requires people to not be in offices or grim city centre restaurants. So, what is the British commentator class saying about it? Die for Pret. That's right folks, you need to die for Pret.

Gods, my fucking commute on Northern into Manchester last year. Got a railcard through work as getting an annual pass was the cheapest way for me to get it. Seemed ok at first, got worse two months later when the new train schedule took my damned preferential train away, and it basically got busier and more delayed and more cancelled. It was so bad someone made an app called Northern Fail that hooks into their public api and lists all full and partial cancellations (like when the train is reduced carriages and the same number of people cramming into it - oh fuck this happened A LOT). After my rail pass expired after a year, I never commuted by train again. I actually started cycling the eight miles each way instead. It was actually better even on the more murderous streets. Fortunately a few months later a global pandemic started and I could work from home. Thank fuck.

- The misfortune of the Brit-Pakistani man was acting "out of the ordinary", not "harmonized", "streamlined", or "seamlessly" enough, an arbitrary (pattern matching) judgment we can probably all look forward to as pervasive, if surveillance states continue to metastasize. - Was work-/home-/commuter-"wolf" a flourish by Riley? I have a fourth wolf inside me, the Steppenwolf; that is according to Hesse apparently more complicated than the "simple negro soul/nature". Along with really disgusting contemporaries, Hesse was a bit more racist, romantically elitist and politically confused (looking at Steppenwolf) than I remembered/noticed/understood 20 years ago.
