The Horniness Haunting 'Logan's Run' feat. Connor Southard
Here we are again, doing a second bonus episode for the week because we realise the profound demands for content. This episode features Riley, Milo, Alice, Hussein, and Connor Southard (@ConnorSouthard), writer and host of the Podside Picnic podcast. We discuss the 1976 sci-fi dystopia film LOGAN'S RUN, among other things. Hope you enjoy!

Milo not realising that Jenny Agutter looking like your childhood friend's fit mum makes her hotter
Suicidal computer? more like a paranoid android AMIRITE!?!?
Re: Suicidal AI running the place / /// Here's a related sci-fi story, that says an AI that's really smart would try to stay in hiding, and not reveal itself for the sake of self-preservation, but it could still be generally benevolent and friendly. So when I read that story years ago, I found it very cute and hopeful. But now, after listening to the entire backlog of TF, I came to the realization that this story is actually fully dystopian, and it describes exactly the libertarian startup fixer culture that is invading all our lives.

Last and First Men (i mean the book; but there's also recent film by J贸hann J贸hannsson, with Tilda Swinton and Yugoslavian monuments); weird, janky, calamitous, and amazing 2b years of future history across 18 human species, imagined by early 20th ct Marxist Brit; please discuss. It's free from Project Gutenberg. Recommended by Forever War's Joe Haldeman, who mentions it in his Hell of a Way interview from early 2019.
Trashfuture is so generous and giving I want to cry (with gratitude, happiness, and something else nice, which slips my mind momentarily)馃挏x
I enjoyed the show immensely. Really very, very interesting. Thank you馃挏x
There's a similar Sci - fi show I think you guys should have a look at, because it's got some similar themes that partially reminds me of Logan's Run. It's the Anime, "Knights Of Sidonia". There's honestly some moments where I'm like, "is this Fash?" because fuck me, there some horny militarism going on, and themes about wanting to exterminate aliens on site. Even in the first episode in that show there is just mech pilots roasting anti-war protesters. Plus, there's also the same killing kids when they reach a certain age to use as bio fuel, so yeah 馃槀 It's like Attack on Titan but in space & I think you'd enjoy picking it apart. If nothing else, I just wanna hear Hussain's thoughts on it. Great episode BTW. I really needed some belly laughs after the last few trying days.
its not anime unless there some weird horny fash military/police energy
