Did you know that Fiverr wants to drive down your wages but also want to make you feel empowered? Did you know that the Telegraph has found a way to get mad about black people in Bond films? Yes. Lily Tomlin was on TV in 70s and she was out and proud, and a longtime civil rights and lgbtq rights advocate. She was the one who invited Richard Pryor to the Hollywood Bowl benefit to shut down California’s 1977 anti-gay ballot proposition. And that is where Richard Pryor went on his famous and remarkably incisive tirade condemning liberal celebrities for their baked on, caked on racism and their lack of real solidarity. The way you footnote Tomlin in this episode is useful to people who like to claim that white women in the 60s and 70s never used their privilege to amplify marginalized voices.

@44:55 Riley introducing an article with "... or maybe you're listening to back episodes, in which case HI what's it like in the future?" -- DUDE, you would eat your socks!!! I'm about 10 months ahead, and clearly the multiverse keeps branching into more and more bizarre versions. I've been listening to this ancient episode in the quiet enjoyment of your blissful innocence about global pandemics, total lockdown, and that crap...
