EDM: Sonic Gentrification feat. Aloiso Wilmoth
Welcome to this week's bonus episode from Riley. You've been promised this for ages and now you're getting it: a discussion on techno as praxis. But, it's not as lame as that might sound, because Riley speaks with musician and producer Aloiso Wilmoth ( @HE_VALENCIA) about the history of techno, its DIY ethos, its Midwest American roots, and how's it's been repackaged and sold as EDM.
You can find Aloiso's music on SoundCloud here: https://soundcloud.com/he_valencian
There's a little bit of warble on the recording! We've done our best to clean it up as much as possible, but you may still notice it periodically.

One of the most underrated episodes from the early years. Someone needs to pitch a show to streaming services about people going back & forth from Detroit to Berlin in the 80s!
What is the tune at the end? I have heard it so many times but don't know the nameof it.
"Strings of Life" by Rhythim is Rhythim (Derrick May).
