Montessori Arms Company feat. Priyanka Raval

It's the free one!

For this week’s free one, we’re talking about a Thiel-funded startup to invent future guns that is apparently run by a 9-year-old. We’re also talking about AI Steve, the strange but 100 percent not made up story of a guy who’s claiming he’ll make an AI chatbot and represent its views in parliament if elected. However, we’ve also got an interview segment where Riley speaks with Priyanka Raval of the Bristol Cable about the parliamentary seat in Bristol Central that might flip from Labour to Green. Is there a lesson we can learn from this? Is this replicable? Does Labour hate every one of its voters? The answer to at least one of these is ‘Yes.’

Priyanka's interview starts at 34:39!

The Yogscast are the only reason I know Bristol exists. Sorry. I'll give the cable some money.

Moving from London to Commorragh because the gender reassignment clinics are less invasive and the pride parades are crazy

Was so close to turning off after the Rap Snacks bit, thinking ok this is clearly the pinnacle. Glad I didn't, but any Rap Snack mentions will always get a like from me!

Barton house was a bastard shambles from start to finish, councilors didn't give a monkey about the young families forced from their homes - kids having to sacrifice school meal payment to pay for a premier inn over their heads, poor buggers. Would never forgive them for it, and wouldnt blame anyone in their position to never Labour again

Got so angry I forgot to write " never /Vote/ Labour again", but you should vote none the less!

So we all were trying to say street wear brand names in a German accent with November, right? 😆

You know you listen to too much Trash Future, if you hear Starmer speak and only hear Milo Starmer in your head. Love it😂

I don't live there any more, but I always found Bristol to be a bit contradictory, politically. No shortage of progressive or radical people (or people who present that way at least), but it never translated into political representation. Seems to be *very* racially ghettoised compared to other cities as well, it's multicultural in Easton/Lawrence Hill/St. Paul's, but those are all relatively poor and run down areas, where the victorian terraces still cost £400,000 and the rent is...a lot. Surprised Labour are even bothering coming out around there (my old area), lot of Palestine flags, probably a lot of people with family over there.

Currently living in Bristol central seat and this analysis is very decent. A number of things that have happened in last few months that I think are very telling: thangam debbonaire sending out the most pathetic excuse for not voting for ceasefire (and then accidentlyy sending it to people multiple times); local labour canvassers refusing to listen to my concerns (and I’m sure others) over gaza and labours lack of support for trans rights; greens sending a leaflet through my door about once a week for the last few months including a little newspaper and Labour sending one or two minimal effort leaflets; greens sending a thank you card after local elections to everyone; local Labour canvasser talking to other people in my building and not even bothering to talk to me despite me being outside gardening (unclear if that was a this person looks too young to vote or they’re young we’ve lost their vote). The greens social media campaigns is also pretty solid- not overly curated or flashy, but funny, snappy and simple. My only worry is they are overestimating the swing vote/ relying on student vote but I’m hopeful greens might win.

Debbonaire came to my door during the 2017 election. How things change.

Starmer went to a pantomime and he is PISSED. "He's obviously behind you. I've made it clear he's behind you. I encourage you to turn around and see that he is, unlike the British public, behind you."

This episode opened with Hitler and went to Huntington Beach, California, a city that has a Heil Avenue, a Speer Drive, and skinheads (the bad kind) who will racially interrogate you at the shore. A real plant and payoff by the gang.
